Thank you man! I appreciate the support! I've been a bit slow on uploading videos recently because I've been busy this month, but I do have a few upcoming videos that I hope are informative for people. =)
Good afternoon, excellent video. I'm not getting the engine set, there's some secret, I've followed your every step. My radio is also a Taranis. thank you. A big hug
Hi Nilton, would you mind describing the issue you're having. Is it with binding to the taranis? or with setting up cleanflight, or betaflight? If you give me more info i might be able to help out.
Great video. That was very helpful in flashing. I'm still missing one thing with getting my quad going. I have a DFU board so I do not have a bind button. How do I bind my quad to my transmitter?
Hey Chaz, if your board doesn't have a bind button it probably has at least bind pads to put the board into dfu mode. If when you plug into betaflight it already shows up in dfu mode then you likely just need to download the zadig drivers and you should be all set. If it doesn't show up as dfu then you might need to bridge the boot pads on the trasnmitter to flash. And similarly, if you can't find a way to bind you might need to bridge the bind pads to bind. You can usually do this by using something metal, like a tweezer or screw driver to bridge the pads as you plug in the power. That said, soldering the pads together is usually the easiest way to do it. Then after you've successfully bound or flashed (whichever you need) you then desolder the bridge so that it can function normally. hope that helps!
i totally agree! i try to only fly it during the day/when there is relatively constant lighting. the ef-02 camera is a lot better. I think i mentioned that in a previous video, but I just wish it came with a whip antenna.
Question, is the camera automatically switched on when the power is turned on or is there a way of turning it off and on using the remote that comes with the E010?
Hey BrickDesigner! I'm using these batteries: www.banggood.com/5PCS-Eachine-E010-3_7V-150MAH-45C-Upgrade-Battery-USB-Charger-Set-RC-Quadcopter-Spare-Parts-p-1103569.html?p=0Y29113406588201512O I think the indutrix style batteries have connectors which really don't allow for enough power to flow through to the motors. I have a blade nano qx fpv and even for that one I upgraded it to micro-losi connectors. I've found that the E010C style battery connectors are perfect for quadcopters this size. The 45c batteries I linked are amazing, lots of power. I love them. Hope this helps!
Hey Capt. Sorry for taking a bit of time to get back to you. I wouldn't personally cut off a part of the prop-guard, if you mean the actual hoop. The reason is that these are meant to be induction assisted in terms of lift. If you cut a third of the guard off you might be saving some weight, maybe even a decent amount, but i think the loss you would get from lift would make it fly worse in a lot of ways. I might consider trimming a bit off of the bottom of the hoop, but I'm not sure even that would do too much. I think there are a few other places to trim some weight, but other than little bits of plastic here and there, it's really probably not too much more at this stage.
Structural integrity would be reduced quite significantly.. But a frame for 5.99 and find out. If you don't use headless I'd if forward facing so it's just prop cutting air. But that's just my opinion
actually I flashed the latest betaflight on this. I think PID tunning on betaflight is nicer. I have always found that cleanflight if you want the absolutely most "stable" quad, but if you really want to fly fast and do acro stuff then betaflight is a must. It's crazy how much difference there pretty much as soon as you flash betaflight onto a board that was on cleanflight before. With the e010s it was a bit of a pain to flash because you actually do have to solder the bootpins together to flash it, but once you do it's a beast, it might actually be too fast for my apt. to be honest. haha.
KennyLee NYC I am using the FrSky Taranis x9d plus. it's worth all the hype it gets. and now they just came out with some hall sensor gimbals that are supposed to make it even better.
hey superdannyj, the tune is called Birdbrainz by Ottis McDonald. he's an awesome artist who allows for his music to be used royalty free. I can't believe I forgot to add a note about it to give him credit! Thank's for the reminder. =)
sorry, no it would not be able to carry something that heavy. that battery is almost the same weight as this whole quadcopter it would not get off the ground with that much extra weight.
I fly mine with 500mah the weight to thrust ratio is too far off. I find 300mah are the best. Both fit in stock cage. 500mah it's like it just makes it have a fast and slow mode and 500mah obviously slow. Can't do punch outs on stock motors but I just bought 19,400kv 72,500rpm motors still 6mm. I think it's going to be the same punch out and all with the 500mah with the bigger motors. Haven't tried it yet as they got delivered but I'm out of town. I also ordered the 17,000 don't know rpm. Stock is 14,000kv 59,000rpm. Anyways upgrade your motors and it'll fly 700's for sure. With 500mah it'll take right off and wizz around quite nicely.. But I definitely prefer 300 turingy. Idk how it'll be with the 17 or 19k I might go into the 400 range.
hahaha, yeah, probably would have helped. I'm still getting used to speaking for the camera. Hoping once the nerves go away it will be smoother in future videos.
BamRamirez7 Awesome info man, thanks. Maybe write a script then slow down. I had to rewind a couple times to understand what you were trying to say. I hope I'm not coming across as a jerk, I am subbed.
thanks dude, and yeah I totally get that. Since i'm still pretty new at making videos i'm still trying to work out a lot of the kinks and to find my "voice" so to speak. hopefully as I go along and make more I am able to improve the way i present the info for you guys. Thanks for the sub! I appreciate the support and feedback!
Hey Thaddeus! Sorry man, i don't have a video of mounting the camera up front at the time, but I have now flown this so much that I have to replace the motors so I might be making a new video on building the ultimate low profile/super whoop. and I can show you how to add it then. (if you're subscribed to the channel you should see it in the next week or so, but if not I'll try to remember to comment on this thread so you can check it out). In the mean time, the quick response is that I used some double-sided tape cut into small pieces to wedge the camera in between the ducts. I had to cut a small bit of the plastic of the frame in order to better fit the camera up higher. The plastic strut ends up going in between the two camera boards so that the antenna can come up where I have it here. Having said all that, I now use the Boldclash F-02 camera instead because by putting the tx underneath the FC and having the antenna in the back it offers even better weight distribution and a lower profile. hope that helps!
hey Thaddeus, I uploaded a new video that includes how I mounted the camera in the front on my new ultimate whoop. It's a little different but you can kind of see how it works. Hope that helps! (it's my newest video on the channel) =)
