Bro, in fifa 23 , I used to get 11 W , knew exactly what I need to improve to get better and managed once to get 14 W (I know it’s not much for some, but for me it was good as I was going in a good direction) , now I get anywhere between 6-11 W and have no idea what’s wrong with my play style and let’s not talk about the freaking DDA/ Scripting / bugs , etc

Do you remember when drop back first came in? Everyone had drop back and 10 players on attack. It didn't drain stamina and it meant every team could beat each other. That is what this year's PIFA is like. November and still no fox for the depth.

FIFA 23 I would get 14-16 wins every weekend, 11 was if I seriously messed up or DDA or anything. I have the exact same playstyle going in to FC 24 and my first weekend after playing 50 games of rivals was 5-15, I don’t even know how that’s possible, either i’ve turned shit within 4 months or there’s even more DDA/scripting and other stuff going on. Every year the games just get worse.

I still miss the FIFA 14-16 times really. It was so much fun to play UT there, sure, pace-abusing was a thing there (with Musa, Doumbia, Ibarbo and co.), but at least the players have done what you want them to do. Since them, the game goes down slowly. I paused UT from 2020-23, came back for EA FC and its still the same bullshit like before. I exactly know what my opponent is about to do, but I can't stop him... I'm not the best player for sure, but I'm also not the baddest player, but this shit is so scripted, so unconnected to what I press on my gamepad... and I still play it. I'm a idiot.

There seem to be TWO main things that NEED to change: 1) Tackles from behind a player are WAY TOO SUCCESSFUL. This needs to be tuned down massively because the midfield is too congested to always lose from a tackle directly behind a player and it is already hard enough to win leverage over defensive AI 2) FIRST TOUCHES need to be significantly improved, no more KNEEING the ball up and slowing momentum in critical positions, no more lagging touches that send the ball a mile away

I watched a compilation of fifa21 FUT champs goals of another youtuber the other day. Man the many ways you could score in this game were beautiful. First time shots, actually having good passing options in the middle, attacking AI that made runs that made sense, Players with good shooting actually scoring almost all of their 100% chances and so on… of course the game was not perfect, like any other fifa but at least it was balanced in some kind of way and had a skill gap. This years „meta“ with certain players like Mbappe and VVD and running down the byline is the equivalent of one or two automatic guns in CoD being one shot at 200 meters and having no recoil while every other gun shoots styrofoam. This game is finished, even a massive patch won’t help because the complete base of the game is just bad. Finishing, passing, imbalances in attacking snd defending AI, pressure tactics, formations, playstyle+…. EA shot themselves in the foot with this one

Cut back meta has to be the worst meta in FIFA. Literally requires minimal skill and is a guaranteed goal 90% of the time, it’s so boring.

I can’t believe there’s been no patch or fix for all the broken shit in this game, 71 depth is the main issue IMO
