My Angriest EA Rant EVER!!! 

Finally these guys are actually putting their foot down, this is awesome and yet very sad because this game truly became a “I have to play it” vs “I want to play it”.

Worrying thing is, this game makes Fifa 22,23 look good and they were both horrible games. I don't know how they make the game worse.

This was me about a month ago. Went on a one week trip away from home and when I came back I couldn't be arsed playing again. I swear to God life overall has been better since I left this horse sh*t game. Been a calm person my whole life, but for the 2 months playing EAFC, I was just another person. Thankfully I am back to being a normal, calmer person since dumping this trash

You spoke the truth. I play this game for 20 years, I start with UT 2012-2014 and every year we got some issues, but this year is pure pain. I can't tell why, but its just pure RNG. I never was a pro gamer, but I was not bad at all and its okay to lose against good players, but this year is pure and endless pain. My players feel like rocks sometimes and in the next game, its a complete different game... that sucks so hard. What gets me the most is, that I always know what will happens next and I can't do anything against it. I just can't. People don't understand, what these feelings are... we love football, there are no other games you can play, so you are stuck on EA and you need to get through the same pain year for year. You can't stop, cuz you love football and every time you think you got the game, another RNG fucks you up. I feel you in every word. Best time in UT for me was around FIFA 14 to 17, I loved the 4321 with Musa, Ibarbo and Doumbia up front. No R1/RB dribbling, no shitty cutbacks, no RNG every time, just fun, offensive football and sick games. Why they destroyed it so much? I dunno...

i agree with you Nick, this year i've never been more fustrated with a EA game ever. I appreicate your rant videos more so this year because it reminds me that i'm not alone in the horrible gameplay experience. I thought last year had issues, this year is on a whole new level.

I skipped out on FIFA from 17-23, got the EA Play trial and got sunken cost fallacy-ed. Couldn’t just leave my ultimate team so I bought it. Haven’t spent a dime since but definitely invested a lot of time to learn the game and get to Div 6. tried WL for the first time, made finals and won 11. coasted against really weak opponents in retrospect. Since then, I’ve won once, with 30 or 40 draws or losses. I’m baffled. I hit the rat wall. Every game is the same. I packed Figo and Desially a while back through SBCs, they are no match for the same 5mil+ squads. Can’t win any headers against VVD, can’t pass accurately enough or find space to escape 71 depth press from 100 pace high/high wingers, can’t get past CDM Mabbpe, I’m going insane. Tried upgrading to meta players through icon SBCs, got absolutely garbage and dupe after dupe. I sold off my bench and am stuck with the crap 87-90 untradeable squad. The only solution is to buy fifa points and rip their packs. Why. Why. Why. I thought the grind would be worth it. All that fodder would turn to gold. That you could learn how to outplay someone. “Here’s some new meta tactics since the patch guys - well 71 depth is still broken but here’s a 20 step program you need to do in order beat it (if your lucky). What a shit game mate. What absolute rubbish. They are so full from all the whales, losers dropping $500+ on packs in this game are absolute monsters and enable EA to not give a fuck. Rot in hell EA (I know I’ll still you tomorrow for daily rewards tho)

I feel you man. 100% agree. I’ve played every FUT since 2010. This is by far the worst, and it’s been getting worse since about 14/15. Haven’t played EAFC for about 6 weeks now… and I’m not missing it

As a software engineer, I’m baffled whenever I watch clips here on how they allow such shit gameplay go through and even simple graphics and images are ruined. I’d get fired if that stuff went live into production

I’ve played quite a bit of rivals over the last couple of days. Yesterday was to get the 7 wins n today was to get the 7 wins out of the way for the coming week. As much as EA and their bullshit over the last 12 years has infuriated me, the player base in general has too. In 12 games of rivals I had at least half of those opponents quit at a draw where I’ve come back in the game from down 1 or 2 goals. It’s pathetic that ea haven’t sorted this shit out. The more it was happening the last few days, the more it angered me. Happened a tonne in champs too over the last couple of weekends because I was using the 99 game loan vvd. People are so fkn weird, deliberately quitting just so my vvd runs out quicker. Ik this cuz it was happening way more than usual. After playing this game for 12+ years, I could genuinely write a book about the long history of this company/games’ problems. Sorry for the long af comment. Game had me frustrated today lol

I played a 8-7 game in fut champs and I totally agree. Its just ridiculous how much the momentum and just shit goals you concede people dont need to do anything but run into you and still have the ball

I understand the pain. I’ve done every icon pack sbc that has been released and still yet to pack one over 100k. Almost every player I come up against has at least 1 elite icon if not 2 or 3. Becomes a very difficult game when you’re playing people who auto tackle, auto block, auto intercept etc etc.

I agree with you. I haven’t spent a dollar on fifa points and my team is so far behind the power curve. In the beginning I had good pack luck but as time went on and I didn’t buy any fc points, I haven’t had a good pack pull in almost 2 months. Ea are trying really hard to get me to buy fc points. There has to be some sort of list or tracking system ea uses for players. I am on the verge of quitting the game. The only thing that’s kept me playing this long is that I just love football and want to play a football game. But I won’t spend a dollar on this shit. The way the whole system is built is just so dark and sickening, you either pay up or you can’t compete in this game. Wasn’t enough to milk 100 dollars from people

I hear you Nick and i feel the exact same way. Like, just as a perspective. On fifa 23, i played TWO rtgs account until TOTY was done. 2 weekend leagues, 2 sets of rivals, both going for elite division and a chill 14 W in WL. This game now ? I dropped the second account after 2 weeks. The main one ? I basically RQ some games to stay in division 2 at most to avoid the absolute rats i faced in season 1 in elite. The game is boring to no end, you re choked towards one type of goal 90% of the time except for the weird game you get once in a while where it seems you can finally a couple things differently. And i cant stress enough how much i relate to that feeling of loosing to trash players. I see some dudes not even using RS switching and still having their team stick to all my players. 90% of the lost balls are to AI players, especially attackers. There s absolutely nothing to save in this game. And as in all previous fifas, think back to the FIRST patch they released, increasing the jog speed of defenders. That change ruined everything and is what made the AI defense back to god mode. Priori to that patch, anyone that wasnt manually defending, flawed as it may be for years now, was getting absolutely ruined. So yeahw it s december, and i feel burned as if i had just done the 5 TOTS WL. Which btw i got rank 3/2/1/2/3 last year.

My Alison decided to have a charity day and let everything past whilst I couldn't even get a shot from short distance past his keeper (if it even made it between the posts)... :D I am not decent as such, but I never felt so useless. And which button is everyone smashing, I even loose balls whilst their superdefending attacker is miles behind me and a second later he has the ball and runs off whilst my VD tumbles over... no, not understanding the logic leaves me frustrated. And what is it with all these toxic players even in Div 5...

10:40 felt that so much its crazy, everytime i start this game, i go into a match and get pissed off within the first 20 ingame mins due to the stupid shit happening constantly, the amount of open goal misses is more so far this year compared to all last year no joke

Man I don’t even know what to do with this game. This is the first year I’ve ever had a negative overall win/loss record. Last year I was averaging 16-20 wins a weekend league. I’m in a fight for my life to get 9 wins… 9 WINS!?! POTM Mbappe was meant to be too expensive for most people to afford. WHY AM I FACING HIM EVERY GAME?! I’m not a skiller or dribbler. I like to play a simple passing game through the middle and break down my opponent. I CANNOT PLAY HOW I WANT TO PLAY. Another thing is the community where half of the players goal is to make their opponents gaming experience as miserable as possible. For example I played a 5 back rat cutting back every play and he went up 4-0 but I needed a goal with the Haaland for the obj. In the 90th minute he’s up 5-0 and I am through on goal and he takes a red card than let me get my goal with Haaland for the obj. Crazy.

I feel the same way as you. Im a calm preson as well, but this years Store Pack FC 24 drives me crazy. Everything in this game is wrong. The gameplay, the trading, the buggy, laggy client on PC. 5 backs every game, cutbacks after cutbacks. Its just unplayable at this point. I'm leading by 3 goals, and suddenly DDA kicks in, my players become literal food trucks, and enemy 700 coins thrashcan RW is running, dribbling, and shooting like a prime Dinho+R9+Mbappe combined. If the game wants to give the enemy a goal, you will 100% get scored. Literally.cant.do.anything.. On previous fifas, I was like a ~16 wins type player. This year, I feel like its predetermined if i win or lose when I press the advance button. And yeah.. One of my friends has 10mil team, I did a 19-1 wl on his account. The gameplay experience between playing with my rtg team, and his p2w team is like fking Grand Canyon. His Mbappe cannot be pushed, kicked, etc. He gets the ball, he scores. Furiating.. This game is not about fun anymore. Its all about fulfilling ppls gambling addiction. Btw I love your content, watching on a daily basis, but I think you should consider changing it a little bit. this is the first FIFA that I'm going to abandon in december since I played the first FUT in 2012. It is so sad, but it's affecting me mentally. I'll probably finish Zidane (one squad left), play Champions, lose stupid games against noobs / 5-back defenders and LW/RW doing cutbacks, and then finally retire. I play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow because I like playing FOOTBALL, but it's so annoying, the scripting is so evident, balls traspassing the foots and the heads of my defenders, tue cutback passes from the wings are impossible to intercept... I'm not even getting angry right now, in those particular games I know I'm going to lose as soon as I see 3 consecutive shoots to the crossbar from my Dalglish with 97 positioning and 99 finishing, I know I've already lost and then I just laugh with the scripting. So sad 😔

Been playing fut since fifa 14. Miss the days when gold cards were usable all year and they had good cards you could earn through tournament mode. Haven’t played since fifa 20 and don’t have any desire to but still tune in here and there. Hope you and other big creators can truly make a change to bring back the old glory days

As an original player of this game, and I mean the late 90s! Nick is absolutely right, its demise has been staggering. There’s no original play styles,you know what you’re in for every game and it’s wank!!! Same formation same tactics same players. Problem is EA know the game is awful but do not give one shit, promote the fuck out of the game then turn into ghosts the second it’s released, leaving us all to fight over the mess. The day another football game comes out to rival it will be the day their hand is forced,time will tell. Keep the faith buddy, love the work 👍

Another thing I find utterly disgusting is that if you finesse with a player who doesn't have the triat, inside the box or outside, Most of the time the player is missing. And the constant de javu abusing the cutbacks made me put my foot down and play the game twice a week. I played weekend league once since the game started and never been happier 😂

I was in div 1-2 last year consistently. My team is now around 6 mil. I have a full time job and things to spend my time to. I just want to play couple hours per week as a usual person. This year I'm facing so much crazy teams in div 6-5 (as Nick is saying for div 2), that it's just painful to play. After 2 games my eyes and hands are burning. EVERYONE running down the line the whole game. The only motiwation to play are rewards, that are so rigged this year to give you addiction to receive something, that it's just so obviouus. It's when you're not playing for two weeks, and then getting the craziest players to continue play. You're playing next month and get NOTHING. And those players are playing not better than opponents 10k gold leao. EA is just a gambling platform who are testing a lot of manipulations to keep players engaged. This year after they are not under Fifa anymore, they gjust gone wild. Just imo. This should be investigated.

Honestly Nick I really appreciate you saying what needs said, I give up on this game a few weeks ago, it was actually after a win , I beat a real top top player with loads of BS , last year I was getting 9/11 and twice 14 wins this is my level but this year you can win against better players and lose to terrible players it’s just shocking, Fifa 23 had its problems but it was at least playable and sometimes enjoyable, this game is just unplayable.

i used to play a game called fifa online 3, it was made by EA, but for some specific servers, and well they had a rule where if you pass within defenders for a while you’ll get something called troll points(which is like a warning) and if you keep on doing it, you’ll get forfeited, and the opponent wins the match. i mean this is not what official football rules say, but i mean to have a good game you gotta bring back such stuff…

Literally everything you said i can relate to, its mad, the being able to do really well with gold cards hits home the most,and yet there has never been a game for me, that i have liked more than fifa, it honesly feels bad looking at what the game has become.

The #1 thing I miss the most is the Tap shots from 23, tapping the Shooting button and knowing your going to score the ball back then was nice but now it’s just as slow as a Pass

I've never quit a UT so early, they did nothing for months about gameplay, gave up in mid/late October. all that money they saved from not getting the fifa license, where tf did it go. the community dumps 100s of good ideas on ea every week and they don't follow any of them. its unbelievable

Always thought in the coding EA have every formation have a counter. Like how in Pokémon Electric types beat water… 442 could be OP for 352 for example. This way you’ll always come up against other players who you struggle to beat to make you question your setup and ultimately spend in store to ‘improve’ but it’s actually pre determined unless your in the 1% of skilled players

So, as a new player to FIFA, FC or whatever it's called, my experience is that I can easily beat the AI in world class difficulty but when it comes to PVP I lose 90% of the matches. Most of my losses were over a 6 goal margin and I never got past division 8. I played for 2 months and then I decided to quit because online gameplay was always feeling janky, laggy, but mostly unfair.

At this point Nick is one EAFC game away from a psychiatric hospital

I wanted to come back to this video after my experience in weekend league this week. The worst possible gaming experience I’ve ever had. Not one game did I feel like I was playing against an actual human being. Every game I’m getting ai pressed while my opponent is just in the midfield with their cdm. Defend well and try to go on a counter attack? Opponent is running back with his midfielder, back line ai not budging no matter what pass or dribble I do. The game rewards you for not playing. Not to mention the horrible gameplay. Why does it take my player 5secs to make a 5 yard pass. I’ve literally tried to dribble the ball and at times my player will literally stop moving. Now I’m playing on a og ps4. Have the game on Pc. Haven’t played on pc in a while but after the patch ps4 gameplay had just been horrendous. When is ea gonna nerf ai defense bb

I refuse to play ultimate team (because I value my mental health) but I play career mode because I actually enjoy it. But although I think the gameplay is playable, there’s still so many annoying things in it. Passing is just absolutely woeful, you physically cannot be creative with your passing because the game decides as the ball is played who the ball will go to. It will actually slow down an attacker for the defender to get to the ball first, because the game decided the defender will get to it. Another thing I despise, is what I call the hypermotion goals, where the stupid hypermotion replay comes up. Those goals are just scripted to go in. Then penalties, why is the keeper able to get to every penalty if you go the right way? That literally makes no sense. The keeper is made to be in an impossible situation, because if you actually tried to react to the shot and then dive, it’s physically impossible to save it ever. That’s why they’re so difficult to save, but in the game they’re so easy. They even get concussion, because they dive head first in to the post. FIFA 14’s penalties were perfect. You should be happy to save penalties because they usually don’t happen.

Love the passion Nick, and I agree this game has always prodded my anger for years as I only get a small time to play so never really get any good. You have to give it too them as this cash cow will always be played by millions no matter how shit it us. We play because we love football. COYS.

I literally only play when I NEED to. I get my rivals wins Wednesday nights, I qualify on Fridays, and play my 20 WL games on Sundays. I will literally just decide I’m bored as fuck and randomly own goal and leave in the like 20th minute. Squad battles used to be the game mode that would make me want to die now I literally just leave games randomly and whenever they give you free draft tokens I just load in and leave for the silver packs. This game is a CHORE

I dont know if this is a good idea at all, but what if they got rid of custom tactics as well. I played draft last night and had more fun on it than any other mode just because I felt like I was actually getting open lanes and I was running a 4411. IDK, maybe that is a horrible idea, but I feel like if they removed them it would make more open spaces, but maybe thats a bad idea idek😂😂

the last year i was playing with my stupid ass non-meta team created by my favourite footballers, and winning against best teams if i'm better than them. i was having fun. BUT THIS YEAR THO i have to use fucking meta players and i have no BUDGET to afford them cuz i'm ONLY paying for the game every year (so no additional things like fifa points) which is impossible to catch up which is again really and REALLY frustrating. no other game besides than ea fc 24 can't get me this angry and won't probably. having to lose to every meta team no matter how bad they are is fucking my calm ass up. so THANK YOU NICK FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS TOPIC AND SPEAKING THE FACTS.

I have stopped playing WL , just play rivals and SB when i get time and even that is getting on my nerves when i see my new bennacer card turn like a truck whereas the opponent with a Van dyk intercepting and bodying ever player.. The only thing that keeps me and many other casuals is the occasional FOMO of missing a new SBC or some card... Once ppl get over it or some other FIFA video game gets it right , its game over for EA.

im a rank 4-5 champs player and rarely miss those chances in the box because of precision shooting. i've found precision shooting more rewarding because when i miss i know its my fault. im not saying that it doesn't have its moments of unexplainable misses, but 97% of those shots in the box will go in with precision shooting. most of my losses in champs are due to shocking defending, but precision shooting has been the wave this year
