Really enjoy watching FnC every saturday but this video confuses me a bit. I mean, unhooking a muskie on a boat deck? Really needs to be done in the net for the safety of the fish. Also, the figure 8s...the turns are very fast and tight. A figure 8 needs to be wide sweeping corners - an oval is probably a better idea for this reason. Looks like the tackle was off too. More success with longer rods that can execute proper figure 8s, varying the depth of the lure throughout.

right? i was going to comment on both of these things as well. terrible figure 8 thats why the fish left, and who in this day and age brings a musky in the boat? wow, really disappointed a fishing show would do that..

Never figure eight toward the boat. Always make that first turn AWAY from boat. And musky fisherman never lay muskies on the boat deck. Unhook it in the net and in the water. Lift for a quick pick and release.

Remove the front treble hooks, bend the barbs down on the rear hook. Don't t boat the fish,use a proper net.and one handed figure 8, well not the best way to do it.you need to work on your figure eight technique.
