I got to ride in a British racing green Jaguar E-type as a young man about 20 or 21. I went through a parking lot of a old fancy hotel and stopped to gauk at the convertible when it's owner came out and said he'd give me a ride if I helped put the cover on it. I of course said Yes. The ride is something I'll never forget as long as I live. Thanks for the memories.

That view through the rear window was like old movies, lovely.

Catchpole is my favorite YT automotive journalist because his narration is cerebral without being affected; he engages emotionally with the fabulous cars he drives like a true motorhead should; he is able to explain the technical details in terms we understand; he has genuine, original insights; and, as a pleasant change from the bloated egos in his trade, he makes the video about the car and not about him.

At 4:35 I love seeing all of the buses moving as you go past. It's almost as if they are bowing to the wonder that is this beautiful car.

Utterly breathtaking and so carefully and thoroughly engineered. Huge respect for the talent they must have and the Herculean effort in every aspect of the development and construction.

What a Beauty. My dad was an E-Type owner in the late 70's and eighties. He sold it when he moved to America in 1990. Sadly he passed away in 2003, but the E-Type always reminds me of my childhood. He would be fascinated by this restoration. Fantastic car.

I remember reading about Eagle in a book in the 80s, how they took old e-types and 120s and upgraded them with modern accessories... then about 30 years later they showed up on top gear, they have a LOT of experience doing this.

There was one car that I absolutely cherished, and that's the Porsche 911GT3 RS; the manual to be exact. And after this film, now I am in love with two. Eagle have just made the once beautiful Jaguar E-type to look and drive (as you've explained to us in the film) in an absolutely breathtaking way! Good job Eagle for building this car and Henry for showing it to us. I'm both stunned and greatfull!

These are the most beautiful cars ever made! I had two, a 64 roadster and a 67 coup. I wish I still had them.

You should consider a TV show, Mr C. Your pieces are like a work of art. There’s nobody out there who gets cars & how they need to be portrayed on camera like you. Nor has your eloquence. The TG audience isn’t for you, thankfully, but there are a legion of people who crave to see extended pieces of cars such as this. With 11 mins you can’t hope to do a car like this justice. You didn’t mention the number of man hours put into each car, for instance (8000). Just think what you could create with, say, an hours worth, coupled with a series of 6 per year. I don’t know how you manage to create such exquisite videos with the budget you do Carfection on. In fact, when you do the TV series, can you give me a call? I’ll be your runner. Or oil the chain on your bike. Anything.

Wonderful car. Wondering if there are any overheating problems in higher temperatures, as this car has the same small grill opening as the original 3.8 that overheated - leading to the larger grill opening.

This would be one of the first bespoke cars I would consider if I had the money. The E-type is one of the smoothest, most luscious cars to ever grace the road.

Lovely as it could be jaguar definitely made obw of the most beautiful cars that even to this day we can still enjoy and tweak to modern standards
