This is without question the best scope camera mounting system on the market...no disrespect to Side Shot or other brands...it’s just the facts. The tolerance on this unit is far superior to everything else on the market. As I have said before...I need to hit the lottery to be able to afford it, a GoPro8, lense, and the editing software. Maybe some day we all will be able to afford 1200$ for an awesome system to record our shots. Mad respect my friend for sharing your knowledge about a wicked good system.
I liked everything up to moding the lens... personally I'd rather use a phone style mount simply because you don't need to mod anything plus you can simply swap out phones as you get a better one without needing to mod another gopro...... quality might not be as good but sometimes something is better then nothing. 🥃 cheers 🍻
Thank you for the video mate, you just had a new subscriber ;) I have a question please. Is it possible to change back to the original Gopro lens? I have heard that once the new lens is added you can't add the original one anymore.. The problem is that I do use it for underwater also
Hi , thx for the subscription 👍🏻 It is 100% possible to change back to the original lens , but then you need to keep the original lenscover and not modify it like I did 😉
@@Airbuks Thank you!! Another question if you don't mind. I hunt deer at dusk and dawn time, usually at 80-100 meters distance. Do you have any video reviews at that time just to see the lighting?
I have a question. In the present configuration, can a Firefly 8SE camera be put instead of a Go Pro, or does that need different housing? Thanks for this very explanative video!
Not sure if a firefly would fit the current housings 🤔 I am still using the H7 black in mine . Send them a mail , he will be able to respond to that question
@@Airbuks well, eagle vision’s site mentions that a firefly can be fit in though access to the recording button would be somewhat limited ! However, much better idea to buy the adapter from Iguanahunter’s site. Thanks for the response!
Hello Sir. I have some questions. I exact camera mount with the same spec. 1. Why I see the text reverse when I play back in my computer? 2. The focus view on the back of the GoPro is not center and round like you have when insert the eagle vision into the scope. 3. I did replace the GoPro lens upgrade for it. I can't get a clear focus like you did. I adjust the new lens a bit at the time just like you shown. Not sure I have the right scope for this Eagle Vision. I have Arken scope 6-24x50mm FFP.. Is this the right scope for this Eagle Vision GoPro side cam? Big appreciate if you can help.
The reverse text is normal as you fill true a prism inside . You can easily mirror it in the computer afterwards The reason why it’s not centered could be because the GoPro isn’t center in the housing , regarding focus you could also play around with the spacer rings . Best tip is to connect your GoPro to a big monitor and adjust the lens that way to get the focus right
i like it this is a really cool gadet but soo annoyiung to settup the camra lens its not easy to correct the lens posssition and alsoi i think its not easy the camra spacers are not worty if u need to settup the camra lens also if camra lens needs to replace or screw in or out then for wahat camra spacers we r can focuse screw camra lens
Hi, thx very interesting. I really would like/prefer something to let me use the phone camera, have you heard /know about such a thing??? I'm sure i've already seen picture with such a thing ...
Interesting. Mine didn't come with the extra spacer rings 😑 I'm pretty much forced to attach it with the mount just barely gripping onto the scope ocular in order to take up the slack...
Airbuks I'll do that. I just disassembled and looked at mine and there is no inner threading to allow stacking - so I suspect it's a new upgrade, in which case I'll just buy those bits 👍🏻
Thx 🙏🏻 , you can buy something like this eaglevisioncam.com/shop/camera-mount/diy-25-x-75-side-cam-kit/ But the case is not included you will have to connect your hero 3 case to it
Brother i mounted it to my scope but the digits on cross hair are rotated same as it is shown in ur video at the time line 10:26 time stamp on right side image numbers are rotated can u tell me how can we fix them
Hi , you can do this several ways . I think there is even a setting on the GoPro to mirror the image recording but I always do this on my iPhone or in the editing program
Are you sharing your STL files for your 3D printer mount? Will you sell them? I found side mount files on Thingiverse, but haven't looked for Eagle Vision style files. Thanks
@@Airbuks I was looking on the website and they do mention telescopes but I didn't see any specifics. Im going to call them and see what they might have something that will work
I depends on what you have already. The prices can be found on the website of eagle vision . If you have a GoPro already or a other camera, you are looking at 220€-275€ for the kit
Caution - I bought this mount and could not get it to focus on my Vortex scope at all. Eaglevision does not provide instructions of their own and make it really hard to get a refund. I would look at Triggercam or Tactacam as better options.
@@ashrust have you tried adding the extension pieces between the gopromount and the housing ? I find it strange it wouldn’t focus as I have many different scopes and it works with all of them
Check the website of eagle vision for that . I believe the system without GoPro and lens is about 200$ and then you still have to add the lens and GoPro ( 300-400$ )
@@romanmarkin4476 the case will only fit the GoPro hero 5-6-7 and you need to replace the lens for it to work . Can you replace the lens on a Osmo ? If you are a handy man you can buy the base without the case and build something yourself , 3D printer perhaps
