Class looking motor! Saw a delorean at a motor event that had been cleverly converted to an EV by a wind energy company.you had to queue to see the Delorean whereas the supercars barely got a second glance. The take off speed from stationary was phenomenal. Brings a whole new meaning to 'back to the future'.
This has got to be the best Eaglemoss Delorean I've ever seen. Everything looks spectacular! The working Flux Capacitor, the light blue Flux bands, the working speedometer and the light up wheels and base are extraordinary!
thats amazing! if only Eaglemoss would send out the damned issues when they are supposed to i might be able to get my car built too! wont be as amazing as yours though.
Wow!!! This is an incredible piece of art…this was already great model, but you have took it to whole other level. I especially love the stand and the lighting effect, adds so much value overall. I’ve only just begun my journey with this build, I have all the issues, so I’m looking forward to it. One question…when it does come to building the base, would it be ok to ask some questions regarding leg layout, coding and types of hardware needed, I’m sure my knowledge will grow by that point, but any help no matter how small/big is always good :) hello from the UK - Jay 👋
Jay! I kind of envy you for the time you have ahead. It was a great trip for me. And it would be my pleasure to give you hints if I can. Find me on facebook Alex Boehm. My avatar is a cartoon guy in a white T-shirt and blue trousers ☺️. Just send me a message
I get questions about the flash light you can see at 01:13 in the base underneath the car - this is an old school U-shape strobe flash tube lamp like that one www.xenonflashtubes.com/u-horseshoe-flash-lamps/25w-u-shape-strobe-flash-tube-lamp_78.html Making the base hollow gave me a lot of space to hide the LED strips, the two power supplies, the flash, the mp3 player, the speaker and one arduino. The base is connected via a 15 line cable with the car. You can simply plug it in with a D-sub plug. And there are 4 arduinos at work. One for the LED strips and the flash in the base, one for the flux capacitor and the christmas tree behind the bulk head, one for the 88-box behind the dash board and a main arduino behind the bulkhead to control the other arduinos, the mp3 player, the reactor and the many many leds.
Kann mir jemand die Anleitung irgendwie digital schicken, hab ein unvollständiges modell gekauft und muss wissen welche teile in welchem heft sind zum nachbestellen . Bitte meldet euch finde nichts im netz
Awesome Alex! I received 12 issues and then Eaglemoss went down. But it seems that Ixo Collections is taken over the administration. So let's see if I can continue the journey. Seeing this, It just need to happen. Fingerscrossed.
I had to stop my subscription five years ago after issue 38. I went to start up again a couple months ago and saw what happened to eaglemoss. Thankful Fanhome has taken over and I’m receiving issues again!
Joe, I just recommend to join a facebook group like "Build the BTTF DeLorean by Eaglemoss - Main Group". You will learn on the way. Just take your time and don't rush the build
It is the original Eaglemoss Base. I just cut out all the interia and used the space to pack LEDstrips, flash, Arduino, power supply, mp3, speaker, etc. in it. Then covered with a glass plate and on that a semi transparent grey cloth
Awesome result, you must be very proud. Can you tell me if the front lights led's and the light of the plate is the original Eaglemoss? Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷✌️✌️👌👌!!!!! (Has a few days these collection start here,we are in the second issue, imagine.Have a lot way to complete the 130 issues).
hey ssaabb1, grettings from Bavaria. No these are not Eaglemoss. I didn't like the yellowish front lights of the Eaglemoss version so I replaced them with smd-LEDs. And no, the number plate on the Eaglemoss is not lit. These are also two smd-LEDs. But these are relatively simple mods. Join one of the groups on facebook (like: Build the BTTF DeLorean by Eaglemoss - Main Group) to learn from the community. It is a huge help and inspiration. I am also in this group and have posted some pics of my build. Have fun and enjoy!
Thank you very much for answer me back and for the informations you give me.I don't like either the original Eaglemoss lights so I follow yours method.Fb member is a nice way to get to the final result and be proud!!!
Just an opinion for an additional feature for this one, it would be really cool to see the wheels are moving. I'm not saying add motors on the actual Delorean, it could be mod and mounted on the bottom stand to look it's moving, like the car commercials, it stands to stay but the wheels are moving. By the way, how did you even do with those lights? It looks fantastic!
woah indeed this would add another level of realism if the wheels were moving. Maybe synced to the speedometer. The amount of LEDs became an issue after a while as the electric current consumption adds up to levels that the Arduinos I used could not handle any more. Behind the bulkhead is a bank of 12 Transistors taking the load
So the headlights on the EM are more yellow and the mods are white. I personally don't like the light blue el light, I prefer the darker blue EM - What is actually wrong with the EM blue light, is it too dim? Is the speedo (88mph) a mod? Do the digits not move on the EM version?
yes the EM is much too dim, holyboy1. You can experiment with different EL lights and maybe there are even brighter ones. Yes the 88box is a mod that I loved to do. The original EM version is a static light bleeding mess. For this I used the smallest displays I could find and put them into a 3D printed box. The arduino nano that controls the box is hidden behind the dashboard. Join the "Build the BTTF DeLorean by Eaglemoss - Main Group" on facebook and look for my posts. I have posted some pictures to show how that is done.
@@holyboy1 hi! Join the fb-group: "Build the BTTF DeLorean by Eaglemoss - Partwork Central" and search for posts from "Alex Boehm". There you will see pics of the 88box build

Alter...
@@alexboehm7171 So it's a DIY project - ok, I'm up to the task. Does this project has a website, documentation, schematics ? Where do I buy the various parts ?
@@j8577798yt It is a kit from Eaglemoss with a monthly subscription www.eaglemoss.com/gb-gb/sci-fi-fantasy/build-the-back-to-the-future-delorean-1-1/ This kit can (and really should) be modded. There are numerous facebook groups that do nothing else than modding that kit. For example the "Build the BTTF DeLorean by Eaglemoss - Partwork Central" and many more
