The majority of the hatred was being spewed forth by so-called Eagles fansites. How these guys can call themselves "fans" is a mystery to me as they had literally nothing nice to say about my Birds. After watching a pile of derogatory RU-vid videos accompanied by a seemingly endless stream of cold-hearted commentary, I felt compelled to leave behind my own take of the Eagles' situation as an alternative to those who garner a misguided sense of power hurling words as weapons with little forethought. After leaving my message behind, I decided that, with the barrage of hateful rhetoric launched at the Eagles, it might be nice to show you and your teammates that there are some REAL fans out here appreciative of the Birds for who you are - win or lose! This was my message: "I'm an Eagles fan. I've been an Eagles fan for more than 60 years. I've been an Eagles fan through the good times and bad and there has been plenty of both. When my Eagles win, I'm ecstatic. When they lose, I'm disappointed. One thing that never wavers is my faith that they will give everything they've got each time they take the field - that goes for the coaches, the players and the cheerleaders, too! I have never suggested that a member of the Eagles organization be fired, traded, replaced, benched or suspended. Those decisions are "above my pay grade." I am proud to be an Eagles fan and I express that pride by supporting my team when things are going well and DOUBLY supporting them when things are not going great.
