👍 This is such a classy and melodic classic solo. You delivered it as promised and it is easily the best tutorial of this song and solo around. Thank you Jon! 🙏❤️
you made this so easy to follow .... I always thought this would be too difficult for my ability .. but it wasn't ... love this song ... thank you so much!💓👋
Wow. Great lesson. I’m 55 and just started learning. Been looking for an Eagles song to try and found this lesson. Great job. Do you have a lesson on the outro solo? Thanks.
It's a very easy to understand.and learn tutorial John, I hope you can make a tutorial of some of Little river band's song such as it's a long way there lonesome loser or down on the border .
Very nice play for this soulful piece of music. I like it. It was my first song when I started playing as I remember . Today, I would like to request you for an acoustic guitar cover for one song "When I die by No mercy" . In fact, I have been trying to play it with its all melodic fills for quite sometime in my acoustic guitar but unable still to produce all melodic fills of this song as in the original acoustic guitar. My style is like one man show in acoustic. Hope that you can deliver it very well and for that I have to do something for you in return
Have you ever looked at the tasty solo on the Moody Blues Ride My See Saw ? Short , sweet but so perfect ! Natural minor scale ? A favorite of ours from college days . Hope you cover the song if it appeals to you as well . Thanks ✌️
Hi Jon, I am Malcolm from Cape Town South Africa ,this is another great lesson thank you. Your guitar teaching is great. May I request tutorial for two songs if possible ,'' Feelings'' by Morris Albert and ''Stuck On You'' by Lionel Richie please. [ lead and Rhythm please. ] Thanks in advance.
Hi JON That was great. Do you perhaps have any lessons for the song Summertime by George Gershwin and if not could you teach Summertime please. Thanks.
May all of your tutorials be as good as this one ...Thank you for sharing, and yes I did watch your other one as applies to the rhythm and chords...excellent also. Thank's again.
Very nice song and lesson. I think this may be within my skill set to try. Love how you relate the lines back to the chords and scales. I’d love to learn those lines and have that influence in my original work.
Go for it! Yes IMO these lines are better to practice than scales and will give you a more musical result. They'll help you start thinking about playing melodies vs exercises. Think back when you couldn't play the chords to a song. Before you could do what you can now. You had to start by learning a bunch of songs and chord progressions and put them together to start getting it. The same path can be taken for solos. Unfortunately you can't learn to improvise without learning other people's solos first. This is what I do all the time to keep growing and learning new things and approaches. I've learned SO many solos and every time I discover something new.
Thanks so much for this. I've tried different videos for this solo and yours is very clear, even for a beginner like me, and I really enjoy all the explanation and context as it helps with the learning. Please do the outro solo too!
Thanks for posting all your awesome song lessons! You're amazing to kick out a song a day! I know it's a lot of work, but all your Subscibers are very appreciative I'm sure! It's very refreshing to see someone take the time to get the lessons right too! Many thanks!
You're welcome! And thanks for noticing that. You're right. A lot of guitar instructors on RU-vid, don't actually play the right chords or show the part correctly. It takes extra detail to learn it right.
Where's part 1? It would have been nice for me that if you're gonna mention it 1st thing in the video, that you link it right below. And/or link them both together so I can do one then the other. Thanks
Thx Jon!! Now I have no excuse not to learn it. Right now I have to retrain myself to play an open F chord. I can play a bare F with no problems but I'm having great difficulty playing an F without the bare. My instructor wants me to learn this so I can walk up-and-down to a Dm and a 2 fingeref C. I learned a C as a C/G. (Which is not AC major chord) Hard to break old habits!! Thx again.
Yes...very smooth. On the LP sleeve it say´s "Lead Guitar Glen Frey". even though the studio video shows Felder on lead, Glen on keybord. Surprised Don stayed on for as long as he did.
