I went down to Eagles Nest, near Inverloch, Victoria, to do some more ’No Light Photography’.
However, the Moon was out and fairly bright, so I had to change my plans. And that’s Lesson #1 - if you can’t do what you were hoping to do, don’t give up, think of what you CAN do. Play the cards you are dealt.
I still went out there at 1am, and was able to get some long exposure night shots, and also some astro with Eagles Nest and the Milky Way.
At dawn, I went back down to the rock, and walked around it, working out some more compositions I could get with the rising sun.
Lesson #2 - You’re already out there with your camera, so use it!
Many of these photos were also taken with a very cheap, very plastic old Pentax 18-35 kit zoom on my GFX50R medium format camera, which leads to Lesson #3 - You don’t have to have the best gear in the world to take photos.
