​@lraoux I think most of the fanbase know how his name is actually pronounced. The reason people are calling him deJAWN is simply because the word jawn is used in philly to take the place of basically any noun lol.

@@realscoobs people are calling him ‘De Jeen’. Like laroux said, it’s pronounced like bijan or dijon. The J uses a ‘zhu’ sound like buzzing of a bee. And the ‘ean’ is similar to the grunting noise “ungh”. Also, using jawn in place of proper nouns is something white transplants do, jawn only replaces things in context. E.g. If I’m going to my friend tims in SF. I wouldn’t say “I went to my jawns crib” or “I went to Tim’s jawn” or “I flew to that jawn last week”. If Tim had a party and you were telling me about it, I could say “I was at that jawn” meaning at the event. I’m not saying you are personally wrong, just adding to the conversation.
