IN: Fisher, Maley and Payne OUT: Stephens (injury), Pink and Hansen Jr (both omitted). A winning line-up is why I think Ckarko won't change too much. If Comben is a bit bruised and can't make the line-up, then Kal Dawson could come on too. Fully expect Xerri to be big on floating back for defencive height and marks. Back with my heart though. Stephens out with an injury means Stephenson should roll up to the Wing more. He's got the capacity to cover that role far better than at HB and Fisher slotting straight back onto HB will be HUGE! Mckercher should be right to go too and Fisher's return will only bolster Colby in spreading the game out. Maley in for Pink. Nothing against Pink as he's been a solid marking option, he just hasn't converted to goals or applied enough tackling pressure. Maley could very well fix that. He's got the mongrel in him and as a 3rd forward he'll flourish with Souva and Teakles Height looming large. RHJ out for Geordie Payne is a hot take on the selection table IMO but one worth pulling a trigger on. Payne has kicked a few goals across the VFL for a solid time now. His run and pressure provides the same as what we're currently getting from RHJ, trick will be to either land the tackles or kick goals. Equally difficult to do at the highest level for a small forward, important to get at least one of those done. Payne is a tassie lad so if he debuts in Tassie at a ground he's familiar with and gets the same role as RHJ then it's the best opportunity for him to make an impact. Especially off the back of kicking goals in the 2's Finally I'd put Ford as North's sub. He can cover any role off the wing or up forward and North's got ALOT of versatility in Simpkin, Powell, sheezel and Stephenson so that wherever Ford is needed North can maximise the loss no matter the spot on field. I think if this game waa at Optus then that would swing me towards WC, being in Tassie definitely poses issues for the Eagles but it is hardly a fortress for North. The weather often has an effect on the game. The wind can blow heavily one way all day. The gane may come down to who takes their chances in front of goal with both teams having a very good recent goal/behind ratio, but giving North a slight advantage. WC probably have closer to their best team available, I am hoping for a good game. For any gamblers out there, with the potential conditions favouring one end, I would recommend an option sportbet has (IDK if others have the same option) It is a quarter by quarter leader option. The option of the leader changing at every quarter X,Y,X,Y usually pays 100-1 (give or take 20) you obviously have the opposite Y,X,Y,X.
