This was pleasing to hear, been to 3 general doctors because ENTs are a month out. I’ve had random dizzy like spells, and I can hear my eardrum pop when I swollow and no pain, just random dizziness. I was alarmed because there was No pain and a into this coming on 2 weeks today. Stressing out if I had a tumor. Jeez. And antibiotics aren’t seeming to help. These general doctors are not sure and keep assuming they should be able to see infection from the outside. Glad we have ENTs around too.
Nope, still dealing with it, the intensity is slowly going down, but its taking forever. tried cortisol steroids (now i twitch all the time lol) but the brain thing is pretty much every day. seen 2 ENTs and they say it can take months, everyone is different. @@rolandomunoz3486
@@chad7809 starting to go away, been trying to get enough sleep; taking vitamins, not cheap ones. Staying positive. Anti inflammatory steroids ent gave me didn’t work, other ent said I just have to ride it out.
Thank you for this video. I went to Kaiser Permanente Urgent Care yesterday because my left ear was hurting causing my teeth in the rear left side to hurt. I have had sinus congestion for years and years ago, I had a respiratory infection causing my right jaw to hurt as I ate. The Physician prescribed an 125 mg of Amoxicillin yesterday for Otitis Media. She saw little blood in my right ear and she told me not to use Q-tips or anything to stick in my ear. I wish you had discussed, ear infections can cause discomfort and pain in areas beyond the ear, including the teeth and jaw.
I had swimmer's ear one year, and I hope NOBODY ever gets it. It's absolutely horrid and extremely painful. I was given ear drops to eventually prevent it when I went swimming. I had a perforated ear drum when I was young and it never healed properly until i went to another doctor. I advise all to make sure their ears are checked periodically. It can get serious if you don't.
How did you get your perforated ear drum to heal I have same. Currently have a middle ear infection and puss, been prescribed flucloxacillin, I hate this drug, it's horrible to get down and caused terrible heartburn if not careful. But it cleared a bad infection two years ago. Now back to square one. Would much appreciate your thoughts on this.
Sinus infection gave me the middle one. Woke up with my ears full of fluid and the left one hasnt drained. Pain in my butt trying to get an appointment at a walk-in clinic in Canada - you can't actually *walk in* anymore, the online booking just doesn't work for some of them, and others have a week long waiting period for a ten minute virtual appointment!
I got ear infections quite regularly as a child. They were HORRIBLY PAINFUL. When I got to be about 14 I got a big baddie which caused green fluid to drain out that smelled like old feet. Then there were no more except like once in my 20s.
Hope you are cured by now. Currently and also two years ago, I had a VERY painful infection which I believe is Ottitis Media. First time I treated it with Amoxicillin, and this time with Azithromycin. Seems to be working. I am on my second day with the Azithromycin.
Ear infections are no joke l have had some really severe one where l was in hospital fir a week on a drip and having my ears suctioned l also had a hi fever and bad body aches. I have also has two mastoidectomys an afew sets of tunes. Don't leave ear infections go to the doctor. Major ear surgery is really uncomfortable!!

I was prescribed neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and HYDROCORTISONE Otic suspension USP for ear infection. what is the concern about the little hairs inside? also i have allergies to sulfa drugs.? any comments? should this be prescribed for ear infection?
My ear infection spread to the large nerve in the face. It was so bad I couldn't blink and had paralysis in the face. I had to take steroids to clear it up. I believe 30 days worth.
I tried a lot of meds from the ENT doctors but nothing worked towards stopping the ringing in my head , dr Ogbebor RU-vid channel cured me , I went through with his treatment and after 3 weeks the ringings stopped I am grateful to dr Ogbebor😊📢📢
Thanks guys for referring me to dr Ogbebor herbal centre RU-vid channel, his ear drops actually works on tinnitus just like you guys said , my ringing is gone
Thank you for this 🙏 Just back from holiday & husband has earache & puss ......assuming it’s swimmers ear, after spending time in the pools, or an abscess / boil Also suffering with a headache now, which is pretty painful ....been up all night with it. Have given him a warm hot water bottle to ease the pain 🤞🤞
I have had earaches every night for over a year that started soon after my family doctor irrigated (aggressively) my ears for dirt. What she showed me after the irrigation looked more like clumps of wax. She will not address this and sent me to a ent doctor who did nothing. I’m now being told I have tmj. I don’t think so. No tests were done. Comments would be welcome. Thank you! I need to sleep!!! 🙆♀️🙄🤔
So there are other ear drops called debrox which helps loosen up wax but I use 3% peroxide. It washes out and debrox feels oily and thick. After I use salty warm water and a spray bottle to irrigate ears. There are drops for swimmers ear that dries up water and bacteria in it after showering. You can get an infection from the shower. Weather it's bacteria or just the warm moist environment. Ear pain might be inner ear. You would Still have it after cleaning outer ear. It's also possible that the doctor used dirty tap water to irrigate your ears. Distilled water is what should be used and I would use swimmers ear drops after.
Get a heat pad/cushion, the type you put in the microwave to heat for one minute, when the pain starts rest your painful ear on it, it worked miracles for me when it flared up. Best wishes.
Wow, thanks for explaining doc! So, I have COGANs SYNDROME since 2010. Vertigo, Forever Tinnitus, some photophobia in the past! I’ve taken prednisone steroids, meclezine, azathiaprine! I wear hearing aids due to hearing loss! So now all of a sudden I got an ear infection in my right ear and am taking Cefdinir for it! It’s all because I remembered, cleaning my ear out because it was itching inside; like a week ago at work with a paper clip📎 😢 I’ve never experienced this pain so much swelling until I can barely open my mouth or bite down on my right side! 😢 This video helps me to understand everything much better! ❤
