Why to amplify sound from the earbuds when you have a much larger speaker on your smartphone?

I mean, for the last one, you could uh... just un-plug them.

Instead of tying a knot in one bud wire (which *will* damage it; and Klipsch ain't cheap), wrap a short piece of electrical tape around one wire, near the bud. But specifically for these Klipsch, simply make sure the logo on each bud is facing rear (or forward, depending on your model). That automatically ensures you have each in the correct ear.

Yea, those Klipsch earbuds are designed with a curve so they fit more comfortably in the ear. That right there tells you which side is which. I've used various versions of the S4's over the years. It's one of the easiest ways to know left from right as far as earbuds go.

Instead of putting a small knot in one of your ear buds to differentiate between L & R all you need do is put a dot of brightly coloured nail polish on one of them, hey presto! and you'll immediately know which is which. If your a guy and don't have a girlfriend or mum that used nail polish just use a piece of sticky tape, or similar. If you need to keep your ear buds cable untangled and don't have a cork, or even if you do have a cork and are concerned you may cut yourself on a razor blade, just use the cardboard centre of toilet paper and scissors, instead of cutting the groove across the middle, just cut a small bit of the cut down toilet roll or kitchen towel roll.

I remember seeing those same exact blue earbuds on at least one of Kipkay's old *old* videos _years_ ago. If they still work, I'm surprised, my earbuds always end up breaking somehow, usually something like one side doesn't work after a while, I've probably never really had any earbuds that last me more than a year or two.

Good thing earbuds are basically cheap garbage, but you NEVER tie a knot in a wire of something you actually care about. Luckily, you'll lose those earbuds before the damage is noticeable.

I usually enjoy kips videos. This one was weak.

You can also use standard pipe insulation to create ear bud pads to replace lost ones. Scissor, pipe insulation and gorilla glue if you want them to be permanent. Simply shape a small piece of pipe insulation to fit your ear and drill or cut a hole all the way through and glue or place on your ear bud stem. I lost the pads to my Bose buds and did this and they are BETTER than the originals, the bass is much deeper and they keep out environmental sound better also.

In middle school I made a circuit board that produced a siren sound and in high school I made something to attach to a stereo speaker and into a light so the latter would pulse to the music. If you haven't done either of these ideas yet, how about those?

ive been using earplugs on my buds for years and they work like a beast..a tip for ya though take a little drip of super glue on the ear plug to keep the new rubber ear pice on they sometimes will be a little bigger than the bud so this will keep them from coming off while still being able to remove them for a new pair

Putting a knot in the ear phones is even more annoying that not being able to find either one LOL Great vid all the same!!

Chances are the speakers in the phone/tablet/laptop are louder and more high quality that poking the earbuds through plastic cups :)) Also, don't tie knots in cables, especially thin ones like those. It's a no-no - you'll ruin them eventually ! :|

I have the same pair of Klipsch earbuds. Does he not notice that each earbud is angled to fit into your ear canal better? It's how I determine the left from the right one. Just remember which angle goes to which ear.

Yeah cause I carry 2 mini solo cups and an exacto knife

I use a small red ziptie to mark "left" and green to mark "right". Positioned differently on the wires to make finding left/right in the dark. Kinder to the wires than a knot.

You can also make a earbud speaker using one empty coin wrapper, push you ear buds into each end of the coin wrapper and it creates more bass, make sure the fit is tight though or you will lose the effect.

I had a pair of headphones where the left side was about 6 inches of cable, while the right side was about 12-18 inches of cable. Never screwed it up.

For the second one, you can just wrap them around your fingers before you put them in your pocket and it does the exact same thing without having to fiddle with a cork.

Why are there so many disslikes? The only problem I had with the video was the cork thing, because it wouldn't feel good in your pocket, but the rest of the video was great. Keep up the good work Kipkay! P.S. instead of tying a knot one earbud to identify which side it is, you can put a dab of hot glue on it, but after a while of using earbuds. I found I didn't even need it, I just got used to feeling which bud it was by the shape, but obviously it didn't work with symmetrical earbuds.
