You said foams get the sound close to iem's? I found earbuds to be quite poor of sound quality, and was looking for something to improve sound. Could foams improve the iris 2.0, kbear stellar and yincrow x6? I have the foams that come with them but do others make them sound better?
for sure. It's sort of like IEMs with no tip. If you can't get a good seal (better bass) with foams, the shell may not be a good fit for you. I need small ones, like qian39.
Its for better seal, though with foams it makes the sound a little "muddier". The material and thickness matters but not that much tbh. I prefer the thinner ones, or the donut type with the hole in the middle because it doesnt clutter the sound and make it muddier, but still add bass and seal to it. The difference is definitely not like something youll really notice such as changing eartips, so imo changing foam from the one included in the package to aftermarket wont really fix it since theres minimal differences. Better find something that fits your ear, most 15.6mm is too large, not the most comfortable or the best sounding cause its not sealing properly. Then again its an earbud so you cant really compare the seal to an iem. You can try earbuds such as the commenter above me said, cataudio, aidex from nw studio jpn, or yuin.
@@VortexReviews1: If I were to try earbuds again I would try riku earbuds, since I heard how good they are. All the ones I have lack fullness in sound and rolled off bass. They do have excellent soundstage and are very airy.
