Really thinking about it over a blunt, Mac Left us an Abundance if music to relish in. I can go back and listen to anyone if his songs and never be tired of hearing him.
sid bessant such a good bar, especially because of its meaning: On a song with Domo on no idols he said "I rap better than most these rap veterans" and as a follow up now he's saying "I rap better than most these rap veterans, words so real they HAD TO BE SAID AGAIN" fire Vince 🔥
+TheMuffinMaayyn idk after summertime 06 came out seeing as earls most recent project released wasnt nearly as fucking impressive in my eyes. vince is gonna blow the fuck up in like a year or two just watch
+broosevelt7 Summertime '06 was great - one of the best projects of the year bar none - BUT I Don't Like Shit I Dont Go Outside, for 10 tracks is an extremely underrated project, I feel because its not every long especially comparing that to Vince, but the first 4-5 tracks are phenomenal production and lyrically Earl is in a class of his own
Jonathan Carrion yea earl had amazing songs on there, and im a huge earl fan, from before he got sent to samoa by his mom, so ill always love the shit hr puts out, but hes been that kind of artist his whole career. he drops amazing individual songs but never full lenth projects that carry a story or the same themes throughout. vince staples released what i might call the album of the year if it werent for to pimp a butterfly, and his flows and bars on it are crazy, with what id say the second best beats in the game, coming in second to travis scotts rodeo project. people always consider vince staples lyrics to be less complex than alot of rappers, but when you listen almost everything hes saying has some type of double meaning, irony or rhetoric in it. he has the most overlooked bars in the game if you ask me and listen to him more deeply, cause the shit he says that alot of people write off as hard gangsta bullshit usually is much deeper then those people realize. not that the hard gangsta bullshit is bad, still makes catchy ass songs, but hes found a way to represent the hardships hes been dealing with throughout his life and puts the stereotypical gangsta shit in the light for reflection to see its flaws, not glorify it, and thats a special talent there that not many artists have. when its all said and done, earl will have better gems of songs, like singles and certain songs off of his projects but vince will have the entire albums that are remembered.
the beat for this just sounds like how my life feels I wish I could explain it but the sounds and everything combined just mashes everything I've ever experienced edit: im glad that people have the same experience :)
I miss being in middle school listening to OF,Earl, skateboarding, friends, fun, highschool sucks if ur in middle school and reading this pls enjoy!!! ENJOY MIDDLE SCHOOL HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS U CAN, u might b like "im not gonna miss this" but thats the same bs i told myself and now i miss it alot and i just realized it😞
lyrically no one in odd future is really great but earl. everyone else is just personality that makes their music interesting. example tyler, he's not a full bar lyricist like earl but it's his personality that he presents in his music. It's why I listen to him to began with. he's Dark, depressing and mentally twisted but very energetic, fun and happy at the same time. it's almost as if this character (or actually himself that he portrays) is bipolar. Also he gave black kids like me who felt out of place with their own ethnic community and society. before I was looked sided ways from black kids and white kids cuz I liked skating, different music taste like rock and jazz, different fashion like cut jeans, vans, Hawaiian printed button ups shirts and bucket hats. I didn't talk hood and talked "white". Tyler made me not feel alone and a outcast.
Arda Turan lol the fuck? How does that make me hood?I say nigga 24/7 being ironic cuz that's the complete opposit personality of who I am.for God's sake I live in a white suburban town there's nothing hood here
Arda Turan like honestly what Fucking logic is that? Because of a internet username I'm automatically a thug?go sit in a Conner thinking about your stupidity
im pretty sure theyre all going to stay somewhat close if half of them dont die out lol. OF is Tyler's dream, his vision. when you hear OF you think of tyler, like Tyler said on Goblin "im the star of the group so no one else gets the respect that they deserve cause of (you)" they dont want to sit in OF hype anymore they want to make their own image their own hype their own sound their own ideas its called growing up lol
actually after i heard this song and Robin suggested DIablo i checked out all of his shit and found Faces. Safe to say mac miller is now one of my favourite artists.
Earl out shines every artist out. I mean, yeah, you have artists out that have more hype because they're flashy but no one can compete with his flow, it's both a matter of opinion and fact. ***** You say Vince kills it. Kid has talent, mad content, but even he can't compete.
no literally you cant somebody can believe cheef keif is the best rapper an theres nothin you can say because to them thats the best rappper its only a matter of opinion and preference
