I love my vision onki, but have you noticed the green coating coming off? Bit annoying really as not had it long. Just black under the green coating. I'm not a tackle tart but at this rate it will look a right mess in a few years time.
Sorry for more questions.......do you do this style when river low and clear or even on a big river like this do you then revert to french leader? I've noticed my small river will come alive for streamer fishing when the rivers dropping after a spate, but it's not very good in normal conditions. Even when the river is pretty clear but it's got that whisky colour it's good. I'm convinced that a dropping river the fish are just more excited hence why they more prone to attack out of aggression and it's not perhaps always due to them being more confident as it's reduced ability? Don't know what you think?
@@nymphingnewt7639 The river I fish they allow spinners. I prefer fly-fishing to spinning too. I can see how some flyanglers in UK are not keen on streamers and consider it crossing into spin or lure fishing. Personally, I feel if I am using a streamer to imitate a minnow, or a drab brown streamer on bottom as a bullhead, then I'm really fly-fishing.It's funny when you think about the snobbery in game fishing, as salmon anglers and seatrout anglers are all really streamer fishing with their traditional flies. Surely you pick up the odd migratory fish doing this?
@@carlhughes9584 it’s mainly the dry fly purists that look down on it. But like you say the migratory anglers swing big flies like streamer fishing. On my other local river streamer fishing Is deadly for sea trout and salmon and I’ve caught a few 😉👍🏻
