You would think young farmers would care more about leaving so much rubbish. How about if i went to a farm and dumped that rubbish id be arrested. The street cleaners in Blackpool do a great job.

Wish we had the Blackpool council bin men, street cleaners etc where I live. They do a great job.

Great vlog as always I was brought up on Blackpool holidays and believe me they were magical and steam trains came in with well dressed working people. Great memories

The Castle pub 😂 best pub in Blackpool that is Stephen .....give it a shout out next time you do a video......we always stay at the holiday beach flats just round the corner......😊 And well done on the bike I couldn't cycle that quick .....😮

About 5 years ago the night of illuminations switch on about 11.30pm you would have needed wellies on to wade through the rubbish by Coral island by 8am it was spotless even power washed hats off to Blackpool council worker's for the great job they do, take care Steven x

A lot of money can be found on the floor if you pick up all the coins. You need to go out at 0400 at dawn in the summer. Wallets and unopened bottles too. I used to do this in Rhyl.

Another great video Stephen. A really interesting time in the Young Farmers weekend is the Sunday lunchtime when they are all going home, still drunk and heavily hungover. I was in Blackpool last year on the Sunday and it was interesting to say the least. When I got my train back to Chorley it was full of young farmers and hearing their tales of the weekend was entertaining for sure. I think a lot of them don't actually get back to their hotels at all ! Was Central Station shut down by Dr Beecham? He was the chap who closed down a lot of the old railways in the mid 1960s . Would be interesting to know. Great video fella.

The Tower was originally a Bell Syphon Tower which is part of a hydro power system. (From Real History.) Same for the Eiffel tower in Paris. Note how they are both close to water.

A few weeks back everywhere looked really clean but sadly it doesn't take long for the place to look a tip again.

Yes - I note that the young farmers (and others I guess?) are not too bothered about leaving piles of litter in their wake! Still - they are not the ones who have the task of cleaning it up.

This is so helpful to me, because we are coming to Blackpool for the ballroom dance comp in June. This is held at Winter Gardens. I know there are hotels right by that place. Is there anyway you could film the hotels that are by Winter Gardens and the restaurants. Also, the Air BNB's by the Salvation Army or whatever you call them there. That would help me so much. Thanks you are a good tour guide. Which restaurants for fish and chips would you recommend?

Is the indoor shopping centre still there? It had a department store in it. I forget the name.

It's not to my taste but each to their own. Interesting to see the differences between the north and south coast though.

It's such a shame that British seaside towns have sank so much.🙁 Kind of the same inland, this country is rotting from the outside in. You'd think we would invest, British seaside experience as it once was was a big selling point, if we hadn't squandered it arguably before we joined the E.U we likely would have gotten far more tourism from abroad. Seems to be seaside towns especially are neglected so much without any regards to their potential value. Having lived by the sea, you can literally see the degradation accelerate year upon year, it's pretty bleak.

12.40. Now that is what is known as putting out the rubbish, for the rats. It used to be that a gang of street cleaners, this was in another part of the country, would go out at 7 am and a sweeper wagon to clean up the city center. In no time the lot was cleared. Here one small sweeper truck that must surely have to go back to the depot to empty itself, then come back. They do not have this problem with the countries that I have visited, and each morning streets washed down, early morning.

DOES ANYONE REMENBER THE BRITISH LEGUINE ON QUEENS STREET OR THE STREET PAST THERE IN THE 1060S

When you say early morning was it before 7am ?

All that rubbish piled up outside one pub would suggest to me that it was a planned incident to do the dirty on yer.
