The main difference between real and fake earpods is the price. The real ones are overpriced like hell, and the fake ones are reasonably priced.

I have a pretty simple test I do. EarPods will work with any audio player but the volume & playback controls only work with IOS products. So if it works with something like an Android or Windows phone, it's fake.

Lord By Default Me, specifically? Definitely not, I like EarPods because they're cheap (strange for Apple) and sound good, not because I'm a sucker for Apple. But I know a lot of people would just buy it for the brand. If it was a knock-off and I could be certain it sounded just as well, I'd rather get the knock-offs.

Just ordered new earbuds on Amazon and they're hard to plug into my iPhone, the cable is thinner and stiffer, the buttons on the remote are noisier and harder to click and the earbuds themselves feel more loose in my ears (I've used Apple earbuds for the past 3 years).But I was sure that the real ones say 'designed by Apple in California' but I watched your video to make sure. These ones don't say that, and they were sold as genuine ones.Definitely contacting Amazon soon.

the biggest giveaway is in indeed the sound quality, and the best way to tell the difference is by blocking the air pass though on the earphones for the bass, and if when you either block or unblock this air release the sound would definitely change, on the fake ones won´t do nothing, is air cavity is just for decoration.

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with fake or lookalike EarPods. Yes the real ones can get clogged up and stop working, but the fake ones break before they even get to that point. Plus QC for me has been awful with plastic bits left everywhere that slice up your ears.

I bought my Earpods from a reputable dealer for 29.99 and I got the warranty on them, which was an extra 7 or 8 bucks. This covers everything except loss of the item. So the guy told me if my dog chewed them up, they would replace them for free. So, I think that's a pretty sweet deal honestly. And then when I get them replaced, I can pay another 7 or 8 bucks to put the warranty on THOSE. So, basically I'd be paying around 8 bucks for the rest of my earpods, assuming I got them from this store every single time. (I go through a LOT of earbuds. My dog always manages to find them.)

I ordered an ipod nano to hack and use to listen to music because my ipod touch has depleted memory and the guy said free earpods with it, wall cube and cord. I ordered them from amazon and they are not hear yet.. The overall cost of tne earpods, ipod and cord and wall cube was $80 plus free shipping. Do youthink the earpods will be real or fake?

I've used earpods for years. Among them were originals and fakes. When I paid a total of 8 times 15 to 35 euros for it (because the original, but also the fakes quickly broke) I have decided for others by JBL. They hold out. But I have to say that the fakes I bought sounded like the originals. Therefore, if someone is looking for fake earpods ... Just buy on joom which there are some for 1.80 Euro. Or spend once 20 €, and for 2 years have something of it.

Almost sure mine are fake, as it passes every test shown but only 2 weeks into using them, the left ear went out & I thought it was earwax but I cleaned it well & the sound is still completely gone

for 30 bucks there are much better options then ear pods. They have a decent flat sound but at the end of the day you can probably snag the old in ear dual driver ones online for similar cost with a little hunting with much better sound.
