@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 Funny enough the Storm Team has existed, technically, in four games. EDF 3 (2017 for xbox) EDF IA, in the form of Strike Force Lightning and Lightning Alpha. EDF 4.1 (Where the stories are told, and eventually the troops around you believe that you are the legendary Mothership Sinker himself) Then there's the EDF 5 and 6 Storm 1. The literal god killer.
The funny is, in EDF4.1 (i think it's the same as EDF 2025) the Omega team who they are also the elites, say that they want to meets the legendary heroes, the Storm-1. It's funny because some missions we are together. Side by side shooting aliens and they are not realize it until near last mission.
This is the main reason why EDF4 still remains the best as an atmosphere, environmental etc. Everything sounds perfectly designed. The commander( Strategic command headquarters sometimes he is called, love that running gag), the Aigis voice actor, every EDF that is male and the wing divers sound exactly how they should be. The only sad part are the wing divers, they sound so professional to the point of being robotic despite actually showing emotion in their lines. The problem l am trying to say is, they have few lines and their lack of singing with the other soldiers shows something Either the Dub ignored it, or in the Japanese, original material, was supposed to be professional. Don't know if they do sing in the Japanese version, must try it. Still, every support character, everyone really, sounds perfect. Their emotion, the feelings capture the game so well In short, it is immersive. Everyone is funny, even the Aigis one when she says " Danger, Danger, red alert"
More like EDF is what Guardsmen hope they were. Unquestionable loyalty that never needs commissars. Driven only by the will to survive and protect their loved ones and brothers-in-arms/comrades. 90% casualties? Morale is Higher than Ever! They will all sing the anthem until there is no EDF trooper left. EDF will continue to fight to the last Ranger. Access to High tech weaponry that will make every techpriest jealous. Never in the Imperium of Men have access to a "Small Arms" the battle rifle AF-100 That can shred Titans in half. It's so light that a Ranger can carry it yet it outclasses the Bolter, the standard issue weapon for Space Marines which is an automatic grenade launcher. Which for the Air Raider is an early game unlock, the Limpet Splendor. To add insult to injury, Air Raider's Limpets are also long range as long as you know to compensate for gravity. Our Space Marines? The Fencers. What is the best melee weapon a Space Marine has? Compare it to the Vulcan Hammer which is a Nuke on a Stick. Yeah even Fencers has bigger balls than an Ultramarine. He is going to make sure that even in death, they will take thousands with them to their grave. I can already see the Sisters of Battle filled with envy as the Wing Divers have better treatment than they do. Wing Divers might be "Special Forces" but they have better comraderie with the rest of the EDF's forces compared to their relations with their Imperial counterparts
The Imperial Guardsmen and Death Korps of Krieg WISH they could be as badass as the EDF. The Guard LOST CADIA, the EDF SAVED MOTHER EARTH/HOLY TERRA and canonically killed LITERAL GOD on MULTIPLE occasions. When have the Guardsmen or Kriegers EVER come even remotely close to such a feat?

I mean the Krigers did charge chaos Marine World Eaters on Vraks right when they exited their drop pod. So I'd say they comes pretty close to killing a god
Its such a haunting yet hopeful song. It gets so hyped for the fame every time i hear it. Yet i always miss them singing because on off blowing up ants. Flying around Taking out transport ships. Ordering airstikes. Bllast dashing around the map like a mad man or even just doing whatever the ranger does ill be honest i never play that class although i think im gonna try him out.
According to the wiki, rangers are best against single, tough targets. He just rolls, but can use the vehicles Air Raider calls in (of said AR lets them). Ranger is by far the simplest class, and ends up being the least mobile. His weapons are straightfoward and usually have short/medium reloads (especially compared to Fencer).
The type of song that makes me want to continue fighting while having lost an arm and both my legs, crawling towards the enemy with one arm and a blade in-between my teeth if I have to.

In a weird way, this plays out like Earthbound to me. Or perhaps Undertale, or even Chrono Trigger. The EDF failed, the aliens took over. That's the initial canon. We, the stubborn passerby, came to change the fate. We cannot be destroyed, we are more resilient than even the alien's greatest ships. So get out there, respawn, and show this world what you can do!
