The song's message is about finding your own path and not letting others dictate how you should live or think. Be your authentic self. I love Maurice for this message.
Used to sing this song with my dad on many road trips. Lots of wonderful everlasting memories. Lost him April 2024 and I played this song and sung it to him in his hospital bed in his last moments on earth. Thank you dad for exposing me to this wonderful song and group EWF! May you rest in peace! A true masterpiece! ❤
My condolences...you sang your Dad out with a beautiful song. That made me cry. This used to be one of me and my husband's favorite songs. I didn't get to sing it to him. He passed after I left the hospital to shower and change.❤💔❤️ I'm glad you had that opportunity with your Dad❤
You touched my heart with that memory as though I was there with you in that moment . Thank God for his life , God bless you and your beautiful memory .
My deepest condolences. But please know this song is going to both comfort you and make you cry your heart out The words are so deep and beautiful. So be ever wonderful.
@@bradm.3775 Brad I agree as well. Because that's One of my Favorite Songs. I listened to it in 2000 but I didn't know the Name of the Song or the Group at the time.
EWF is true essence of Black Culture that is unmatched in this world. Near the end of time Black People will know what is valuable. GOD BLESS MY PEOPLE
You can never be depressed listening to EWF. Their songs are Liferafts, lifting your spirit up from anything. I can't listen to this song without crying tears of triumph. So many times being told to make myself smaller, and then Maurice White tells me to Be Ever Wonderful. Stay as you are! Thank you EWF.
My parents played this song so much when I was growing up..i think it planted a seed within me. To believe in myself, respect me and others around me. Don't change my beautiful soul no matter how evil this world gets. Always look at the brighter side of life! Be humble, wonderful, and kind!
Claudia Branch thanks again and thank you in believing in the hope for our world. It's truly a blessing to see what we can reciprocate kindness to each other as strangers, but united in spirit, that there is indeed hope available and living in harmony is possible! 🙌❤️
This song can literally minister to you when all seems AGAINST you! Don't let the world change your mind, when you have the mind of Christ!! Continue to Be Ye Ever Wonderful!!!
I had the honor and the privilege to attend many live concerts back in day... there's absolutely nothing like a Earth, Wind & Fire concert...the vibration of every 🎸🎷🎹🪘🥁🎺 instrument, the power of the vocal 🎶🎵🎶sound of Maurice White and Philip Bailey was heavenly❤️indeed...the music makes you feel as if your feet were being lifted from the ground.... Earth,🌏 Wind☄️ & Fire🔥is the epitome of SOUL 🎵🎶🎵🎶...this is one of my favorite songs ❤️🔥❤️🔥 Clearly God's from another galaxy🌏❤️‼️‼️‼️
Great inspirational message to all believers in Christ Jesus❤ Isaiah 9:6 Our Savior is our Wonderful Counselor and we should Be ever Wonderful and don't let the world change our mind. Praise God 🙌 and I truly thank God for EWF ❤ such a heartfelt song!!
I'm a musician, and i always thinked that EWF came from another planet or something. Some chords that i hear are absolutely impossible to replay exactly, or scales... The complexty of some songs, like for example, Can't Hide Love or Boogie Wonderland, are pretty much simple, but other like this one, or After The Love Has Gone, studio versions, are things that i can't explain and i think others are with me. And, if we talk to live versions, this persists and stuns me. Think about it...
Franco Maksimchuk actually you are recognizing the knowledge we are supposed to be aware of but has been withheld from us. You noticed the excellence of their music but look at all their album covers. They had knowledge that has been hidden from the majority of us and that knowledge is shown throughout all their work.
This song has a really deep message and is such a wonderful ballad, Maurice White was the heart and soul of this group.Their music 🎵 is so uplifting and positive. We need to learn to love ourselves and not change for anyone.R.I.P. Maurice White ❤
I learned to sing this song soon after it was released. Being a 15 year old youngster, I really didn't know the message clearly until I became an adult. Now at 60 years old, this song has become my anthem for going through hard times. My favorite line: Don't let the world change your mind.
@@kobismith regardless of th circumstances in life don’t lose yourself idk what you define yourself as but many had great ideas maybe wanted to play sports make music things like that don’t lose that person because if you do you lose your magic that makes you do things in your own way idk if I’m right but that’s what I extract from it I’m 20 btw
Gaburieru Orivaa--What a beautiful sentiment. Such beautiful words. I wish EW&F had put those words to music. Be ever wonderful Gaburieru, stay as you are.
Be ever wonderful, alright? Stay as you are. Time is right for you tonight. Find your place among the broad day light. Stay as you are, alright? Oh, and be ever wonderful, alright? Stay as you are. Alright? Alright? Gonna find a few, always walk with you, oh baby. Many people claim, don't always view the same, oh baby. As you live today, what I wanna say is be ever wonderful in your own sweet way. Be ever wonderful. Stay as you are. Time is right in your life tonight. Find your place in the broad day light. Stay as you are. What I wanna do and what I'd like to tell you may not be as you see. As you live today, what I wanna say, be ever wonderful in your own sweet way. Don't let the world change your mind. Don't let the world change your mind. Change your mind, change your mind, change your mind.
Groups like this will be duplicated bc this is what you call real talent not studio. Love this old school group and many more. This is what I listen too.
Maurice spirit has not left us or the universe. Maurice has done what we all will do, make our transition from this life. We are all just passing through. Rejoice that we will forever walk in rythmn and move in sound to EWF music. 🎶🎵🎼
Spiritualism on high, come down and penitrate my inner ear. Make me aware of all the simplistic things in life I have been missing. Stay as YOU are! Help me find the few who walk with You. Plaese continue to love me in Your own sweet way. Amen.
Happy 69th birthday to Verdine White, one of the greatest bassists of all time, ever since at the age of 15, when he saw a Double bass at his high school, having made the decision that he wanted to play it, he went on to master it
Such an inspirational song, touches you to your core being. Stay as you are, and be ever wonderful in your own sweet way, and don't let the world change your mind...... :)
I can play this song over and over. This song touches your inter being, so real so true.Be ever wonderful is a song that can make your day be better. I just love this song. This song will always be until the end of time.
So blessed to be introduced to this group by my dad. We danced, laughed, and chilled listening to EWR. I always thought my dad was one of the band members. R.I.P Pops
Another slow track to close the LP (3 so far I think). Play this and slow dance with your loved one before it could be too late (it was for me due to Covid travel restrictions in 2020 etc). I am in tears writing this as the whole LP is so emotional for me. 67 year old drummer in the UK and still kicking it. Good luck all.
Great advice. We are blessed to be able to enjoy the amazing music from Earth, Wind & Fire. Each positive comment is true and appreciated. Thank you Earth, Wind & Fire for continuing to share the music and the spirit of Maurice with everyone. Peace and Love.
EW&F's Maurice White and Phillip Bailey. Now that's making beautiful music together. I hope these young cats, the hip hop generation are listening to this. This is the rich R&B legacy left for you by real musicians. R&B royalty. Rock and Roll HOF inductees. They entertained many generations and influenced music styles around the world. RIP Maurice.
Maurice White, while i drive i always listen to your voice, and my head slides pictures and memories of my beautiful first love known in 1977 than lost and found. Thank you Maurice and EWF, you're always the best. R.I.P.
One of my all time favorites -- RIP Maurice -- you truly helped heal the broken heart of mine and helped heal my soul. Thank you for using your gifts for good.
I was enjoying some old school radio, riding on a sunny afternoon with my wife thinking how good it is to just be alive, loved and free. Then I thought of my niece Satorie and how proud I am that she is graduating soon. THEN I thought about the lyrics of this song........nuff said, love you baby pout!!!!
I was in high school when this album was released, and it still amazes me how I clearly remember not truly knowing the meaning of most lyrics but knew that the music was amazing, beautiful, and soothing to my heart. Now that I've lived, songs like these take on a whole new meaning but the original "innocence" is still there!
Words can't describe the ytrue genius of these black and gifted gentleman!! They were described as the most harmonious group of performers, never out of key and the messages never changed" self-preservation and love!! Keep the dream alive black men, fight the power!
I sure do remember this song! And, all of the other numerous Earth Wind & Fire jams released from 1971-1983 I enjoyed EW&F music while stationed at Mcguire Air Force Base 1975-1979 Thank you Earth Wind & Fire! Thank you for your incredible gift of music to all of us that were blessed to have listened and to have actually lived in those days when you gave us so much beautiful music!1971-1983 Those years were truly magical! Thank you from my heart! This music was absolutely the soundtrack of my military life stationed @ Mcguire Air Force Base; Charleston Air Force Base; Howard Air Force Base Panama, Canal Zone; Goose Bay, Labrador (The Big Valley)!
As a 17 year old living in 2021 I’ve always loved and appreciated this music and loved Earth Wind and Fire. Thanks to my dad showing me all these great 70s bands like EWF, Tower of Power, and Steely Dan. I’ll always prefer this to today’s music.
When I'm sad, I just go back to this song. And feel it till the core, I don't expect to be happy afterwards. But it gives me some kind of hope. And that makes me feel better.
My mother died this past Saturday (5/7/22), this is (was😢) her FAVORITE EWF song❤️ & she ALWAYS sang/played this song for me (her trans-daughter)🥰🥰 at the time (in my childhood, teens, & 20s) I didn't realize her message😢 I DO NOW (in my late 30s)💯 MOMMA BECAUSE OF U I KNOW WHAT A GREAT MOTHER LOOKS LIKE & THE GREATNESS OF EWF, I MISS U BEYOND WORDS, U WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MY HEART & MIND VIA EWF AND I PROMISE TO "BE EVER WONDERFUL" & NOT "LET THE WORLD CHANGE MY MIND" LIKE U TOLD ME‼️‼️😘
