Bailey has a book out, "Shining Star" depicting many of his life's accomplishments and triumphs. Bailey touches a special soulful place for some listeners as he flashes back in time and walks citizens briefly through his life and the journey of Earth Wind & Fire. Not your typical R&B group, Earth Wind and Fire broke genre barriers and couldn't be classified or labeled. Bailey has won both awards with Earth Wind & Fire and also some from his solo career.
