REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE TO ALL OF THE DECEASED MEMBERS OF EARTH, WIND AND FIRE . I LOVE YOU GUYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGERS . YOU GUYS WERE THE BEST PERIOD .
@@charlenemitchell3484 that's if you died in the Lord..But according to Christianity doctrine all celebs that die is either resting in heaven or peace...
@@dodie3031 No! What does James 4:4 say? That anyone who is a friend of this world makes themselves an enemy of GOD! So no not one person who loves this world will inherit the Kingdom of GOD! Instead their home will be the place of the dead called Sheol-where the dead shall never rise again! A place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth; where the maggots never die and the fire 🔥 doesn’t go out! 1 John 2:16 NLT *For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.*
There will never be another band like Earth Wind and Fire. These guys actually sang those great songs and played the music themselves without all the equipment these days. Most of these so-called singers today wouldn't be crap if they had to go in the studio and really sing and have a band play the music.
Done Robinson they had the greatest introduction when they came out at concert they would say earth a big globe appears wind a big gust of wind blew across the stage and fire a big ball of fire light up the stage and they come out playing real instrument not outo tuned
Don Robinson, you said a mouth full. These guys wrote their own songs, played their own instruments, and the so call new rap song The new guys can't use a instruments
It's one of the best bands ever. A very greatfull humble, fantastic group. I personally miss their talented mix of fantastic musicians and singers they definitely did and will stand the test of time .
Roland Bautista was a member in 1972 for their album Last Days and Time but left soon after. He rejoined after the departure of rhythm guitarist Al McKay in 1980 for Raise in 1981 and Powerlight and Electric Universe in 1983. Al McKay was there from 73-80 and did work on Shining Star and Sing A Song and That’s The Way Of The World is actually credited to guitarist Johnny Graham.
Much respect for EWF musicians, past and present. You all filled our lives with exquisite songs with meaningful words, soulful, groovy and funky. Hail EWF!!
Still my favorite favorite group, since 1975......... Keep your head to the sky, Lover Holiday, After the love is gone, September, I write a song for you.....and the list grows on....jazz, r&b, funk........ forever rest in peace.....all the deceased 😢 members.....❤❤❤❤
If you never saw them in Concert you missed an event! These cats were bad....my favorite band. Rest in peace to the members who passed. EW... LEGENDARY!
Don is my Uncle I always hung out with on the West side on Chicago. Him and Maurice were roommates at Crane. They also worked at Chess Records. Don and Satterfield were best friends. I'm proud of him and miss him. He is why Im a guitar player 49 years in. Also toured in the past.. EWF were Legends...
I REALLY DON'T HAVE A FAVORITE OF EARTH WIND AND FIRE BECAUSE I TRULY LOVE THE WHOLE GROUP AS A WHOLE AND THOSE WHO HAVE GONE FROM LABOR TO REWARD ARE IRREPLACEABLE TO ME, BUT MAURICE WHITE HAD MY HEART BECAUSE OF HIS GENIUS !!! REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE, EVERYBODY !! MISSED U BUT I'M NOT GOING TO FORGET THE MUSIC!!!😎
Love, peace and harmony ...the secret of this wonderful band ! Rest in peace...for the members died. That' s the way of the world ....a wonderful spirituale Song for the present and for the future ❤️
Metal head here. How can you like music and not love Earth Wind & Fire? You can’t , it’s impossible. Now the negative but true statement. Such an important band in music history, and showing who has passed, you couldn’t take 20 bucks and have a human being do the narration? I’ve never wanted to BOOT UP a computer so bad, after hearing it say the name of the band. Philip Bailey is still Living, and you show a picture of him. Thank you for putting this together & Sharing.
They were all great talents! Loved their music, stage presence and their interesting stage affects. They were unbeatable! Saw them perform at Madison Square Garden. I can still see the piano coming down from the top of the ceiling, and the smoke like atmosphere surrounding the stage! Thank you guys for your uniqueness and your ingenuity! May you all Rest In Peace! 🎤🎧🎹🎷🎺🎧🎼
I really regret not having the honour to have experienced the magic of earth wind and fire live 😢 ❤ What a huge influence that awesome sound had on my young life
You know, as much as I am in awe of the incredible musicianship, I do miss Maurice White.. he and Philip Bailey were magic together with Vocal arrangements.. But I concur, it's Maurice that was the Spark 💥🎶🌌 peace
Jessica Cleaves did not sing on Fantasy and I'll Write A Song. She was on the Keep Your Head to the Sky and Last Days and Time albums. A lot of these FACTS are so incorrect.
We never dissipate we only recreate to another place in time you wrote plenty of song for all of us to recreate and wake up think you're one of are you my favorite band of all time 63 when I'm down and feeling blue I Turn to You
I was in grade school when I first heard their songs. Since then they became my fave group/singers. There will be no group like them. They are the best group band👏👏👏👏👏👏 My fave song---Reason❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The best band on the you know God had a hand in this Earth wind & fire 🔥 your music will always live on for anyone who has the band I still miss listen to this music
Their music personified their name I loved them as entertainers I love them as musicians and I love their talent they truly are the three names that they said they were rest in peace all of you who have gone with the angels peace and love to those who still carry on God's peace
We are all living this life to live again I pray 🙏🏽 we all be ready love God love everyone and respect nature this band embodied all that to me KEEPYOURHEADTOTHESKY
Hi I wish you would have mentioned my Grandfather "WADE FLEMONS" he was one of the founding singer members of Earth Wind and Fire, when they were "The Salty Peppers" he was a member from 1969 until 1971 and then he left the group, and became a solo artist writing songs for other groups such as the "Dells". He wrote The Dells song "Stay in my corner" as well as his own solo songs. He passed away in my home town of Battle Creek Michigan in 1993. You can Google him
I love Earth wind and fire as a young person their incredible magic entered my soul and lifted my spirit I knew nothing of the groups history but their great genius is part of my own history now god bless you earth wind and fire you are black American gods of music
God bless there souls, Angels in a dark world, brought much happiness and light to many people in there lives what a talented band they where Awsome back in the day and will be sadly missed 🙏❤️🙏
Yes Charles was the one according to Verdine and Philip who could tell Maurice how they should sound. He was an awesome producer. Maurice even said years later Charles Stephany was the main man around some of their early hits.
First... One of Greatest Groups Ever ...Your Tacky Video had Misinformation & Then The Computer Generated Voice was Disrespectful to All of Those whom Passed away....R.I.P.🕊 To All of the Talented Musicians 🗣🎤🎶
Including pictures not of the musicians talked about. There is a picture of Harvey Mason in the talk an out Freddie White. A very tacky presentation of one of the greatest bands ever.
@@nathanieldavis5231 by the way do you know anything about a studio bass player named Freddy/Freddie Young(think that is the last name) he played on the song Mama Didn't Lie)
Jessica Cleaves was fired from the group after the album, "Head to the Sky". She did not record on the songs "Fantasy" and "I'll write a Song for you" as stated in this video.
When we were teenagers, we used to go to their concerts, almost everytime they appeared at the Felt Forum, at MSG in NYC. Great entertainers. It was worth every penny ( tho tkts were dirt cheap, then. I wonder how much tkts would be tdy😂)
I came to know Earth, Wind abd Fire in 1981 and loved their music eversince. Fantasy and Lets groove tonight became my favourite songs. I still play them even now
Music has saved my life my very first album was the gratitude album also the other one was the Isley Brothers fight the power 1975ish they have been major major influences of my life I would like to think those two bands Earth wind & fire and The Isley Brothers for bringing me the peace of mind that I have today thank you
"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Don Myrick on the alto horn. He plays so beautiful, don't you agree?" Ladies and gentlemen, the computerized narration in this video sucks royal, don't you agree?
EARST WIND & FIRE is the good style music pop,ROCK , disco,Jazz same Like TOTO DURAN DURAN, CHICAGO, MAGNUM, JEFFERSON STARSHIP, and many more. All my best greatest hits songs forever. I love you All.
What a band of musical geniuses! They changed the entire landscape of music! They revamped the entire music industry! See what beautiful Black men can do? We can wreak havoc upon this world! EW&F is definitive proof of that! They've had about 100 hit records! Goddamn! They make me so proud to be a Black man, even in this still racist society! EW&F is one of the greatest R&B/Soul bands in the history of music on this planet! Even White people can't help but worship them!!!
Very nice tribute. Roland Bautista left the band after the "Last Days and Time" album in 1972, so wasn't involved on any of the "That's The Way Of The World" tracks which included Shining Star. He didn't contribute to their "successful" years but was a contribution in the earlier days before their prime. Also, Jessica Cleaves was another early member before their iconic successful years and didn't apear on the "All 'n All" (1977) album which included "Fantasy" and "I'll Write A Song For You". Please fact check before posting tributes.
Stepney was a genius and responsible for much of EWF early production. He was a master composer and their song “Spirit” was dedicated to Stepney and his unexpected passing at an early age.
Louis Satterfield (bass and trombone) is missing from your list. It is true that The Phoenix Horns were not officially part of EWF, but you mention Don Myrick in your video.
They came out with so many songs I love, I can’t even begin to name them all…but I will try! “Evil,” “Sing A Song,” “. Got to Get You Into My Life,” “Saturday Nite,” etc., etc.! One of the greatest groups ever! And Maurice was so sexy!
Maurice also played kalimba. Don Myrick was shot by the cops in the entrance of his apartment. You forgot Larry Dunn, the original keyboard player. 🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼🇩🇲🇩🇲🇨🇦
Great history on EWF, but I would add that M. White produced pretty much All their Records And was brilliant in picking the best of the best in musician and arrangers, playing with Ramsey Lewis before EWF.. also I believe he was The " house " drummer for Chess Records before this.. the song Winner show's Freddie Whites incredible tightness and groove.. but Maurice White was a huge inspiration for me and the reason I became a producer and engineer as well as starting as a musician, drummer.. thanks for listening. 👍❤️💥
Was it me or was was this narrated by a male Siri? Saw them with Chicago several times. Loved when Champlain would sing with them in the song he co-wrote = After The Love Is Gone. The intro to the 80s HBO concert video was so good. The Phil and Phil video do Easy Lover is a classic.
This guy didn’t do his homework very well. Jessica Cleaves was on the Head to the Sky album and then left to join Parliament. Roland Bautista did not perform on the All’n All album which Fantasy was on. He performed on there first album for Columbia Last Days and Time and then left the group. He returned for the Raise album which was in 1981 and had Let’s Groove and remained until the Electric Nation album. That’s when the group took a hiatus for 4 years and returned for the Touch the World album. At that point only 5 members of the group returned. It hasn’t been the same since. Kind of like when Cameo had 12 members in the group and downsized to 5.
