he Soul Train Cruise brought aboard legendary R&B group Earth, Wind & Fire to perform hits from over their 42 years of existence!
They also performed new songs from their new album: Now, Then and Forever. The three remaining original members of EWF for over 42 years shut the house down!
Verdine White brought his electric energy on the bass guitar; Philip Bailey wowed the audience with his powerful four-octave range while Ralph Johnson kept the crowd going with his smooth suave moves!

Barbara Jones good for you the last time I saw them was 1975 & 1979 I was a teenager had my first adult crush on Maurice, and the rest of the band , I hope to catch a EW&F show one day again, still a huge fan, I am glad you were there, I am loving this interview , now Maurice is dead but never forgotten, I cherish Maurice like prince , Michael Luther, and Nick Ashford, I have seen all the great artists I mentioned and I love them dearly, RIP to all my lead singer , may Jehovah be with you. You fans had a good laugh, I am laughing what Philip said.

I am a huge fan off EWF but till today whats the contribution is of Ralph Johsson to EWF.

Ralph played drums, wrote songs, and did background vocals. He was very important.

@@torridd Yes he played with them for years. Wasn't he an original member? I remember when they did Maurice White's celebration of life he was there talking about how Maurice was schooling him on proper silverware when eating. 😆 Poor baby he was crying. He loved Maurice White so much.

@@brendathompson2288 Hi Brenda, No he came to the group along when it was revamped in '72 I believe. You can say he's an original from the re-formed group, but only Verdine and Maurice was there from the onset.

Come on Phillip , let the people know what's the REAL meaning behind the song SEPTEMBER , smile ........ Truth is , MAURICE was heavy into the Study of Ancient Kemet and / or Egyptology and there Culture , and according to the Ancient Kemetic Calendar , it was September 21 that our Universe / Solar System came into Existence , and this was written on the SHABAKA Stone that Future Generation of our Black People would always know the TRUTH ............
