I love many types of music with heavy metal being my top genre but i have always included ew&f in my top 5 bands of all time. Such great musicianship. Huge body of work with the funkiest of funk thru their disco greats. The one thing i wish upon everyone out there who loves great music is to have at least once experienced them live

Definitely the inspiration for Incognito (The only other group that comes close in versatility and talent). My sister's boyfriend bought this for me as a teen. I had the choice of Last Days and Time or Freedom by Jimi Hendrix. I had not heard of EWF so I chose this. It blew me away! I've been a fan ever since!

I was 12 yrs old. One of my oldest brother's was a guitar player and he was one of the best in Rock Hill SC he brought this album home put it on the stereo in the living room after I heard it. I was hooked. I couldn't play shit my brother told me I can teach you. I said naw man I ain't into that stuff but after I heard this. I was drawn towards the drums little did I was surrounded by future superstars. My oldest cousin my uncle Boggie ( Johnnie king) Fatback band my cousin James sonnyboy Johnson ( Eddie Kendricks). Bird Ellis John Ellis. His brother sung lead in disco inferno and a host of other musicians I can't even imagine are name who influenced me. And by right. I did become a bad mother fucker. My brother gave me the name super foot Dave. But. I got my rhythm from power. And that tambourine and to this day whenever I'm playing I hear. That shit. So th

Yes Verdine is a bad man! I have always felt that the bass line on this song is lifted from James Brown's, "I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing (Open Up The Door I'll Get It Myself)" - no foul because Hey...EVERYBODY copped from James!

I first heard this in 1979 down in my basement. Or WDAS about 1030 at night on a Wednesday night. This song comes on and euphoria kicks in for the next nine minutes. And then Tony Brown God bless the rest his soul says that was a little thing called power.

The Best popular music group ever assembled this includes rock, R & B, funk, soul, blues and world. In Jazz there is more room for debate, Miles, Coltrane and Miller in the same band in there prime. Zawinul and Cannonball in the same band, many like this. Of course there are plenty of honorable mentions. However, Influence, time tested and visionary music, tough to argue against.

It was like a whole bunch of mischievous angels decided to get together, come to Earth and fck with our minds. Mine didn't even bother to resist, like it was waiting for it. I was never the same after this album and didn't ever want be again. My mind expanded the size of a super galaxy and it really, truly became difficult to communicate with folks in my family, except for my one brother, after that. Don't regret even that.
