Spike the Ferret Dude, Mario Kart 8 has helped boost Wii U sales tremendously. With each triple A game that gets released for the system sales will increase by a small, but significant amount. Nintendo knows that what matters are long term sales, and with the Wii U's lineup of future games it'll be raking in the dough before long.
Yeah, in 2018. XD Seriously, the Wii U won't ever be much of a popular console, but it might get more sales in the future. That's if they have good games.

I honestly don't know whether or not I should like this or not. On one hand, it's funny and makes sense. On the OTHER hand... it seems like the majority of the people liking this are the same ones who think Reggie has 'no soul' for mocking the annoying MOTHER fanboys.

Seeing how this is an old video, it's pretty funny how fans view Reggie then and how they view him now with the release of Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings. Plus, hey we got a PDF version of the EB player's guide. Reggie does care, I just think it took a while for him and the other higher ups to get their asses in gear.
It's looking like there might still be a chance for Earthbound in america based on the fact that Itoi said he's working on a "republishing" of Mother (the earthbound series). For all we know, Nintendo might finally rerelease Earthbound for North America!
It's worth playing nonetheless. Admittedly, the combat system could be better, but it grows on you once you get farther in the game and can (ab)use the rolling HP counter to your advantage. In the end, the game's really not about the combat, but more the atmosphere, dialogue, music, etc.

Mother 4 is going to be fan made and it comes out this winter. Itoi even said that he was done with the series but he wouldn't mind if someone else kept it going and he could experience it as a player. Still kind of disappointing though...
