The opening scenes of this classic BBC children's drama from 1994, based on the novel by William Mayne. The serial was filmed on location in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and the surrounding Wensleydale countryside. Two of its cast would become stars in adulthood - Paul Nicholls ("Eastenders"), who plays David, and Bryan Dick (movies such as "Master and Commander"), who plays Nellie Jack John. The other lead character, Keith, is played by Chris Downs. Thanks to an uploader (marked as "unknown") at TheBox.bz .

I too have been searching for this for ages, I kept searching drummer boy 90s and I remember having a huge crush on Paul Nicholls growing up but I couldn't remember what this was called for the life of me. I'm going to watch all the episodes again now 30 years later 😂 and act like a 12 year old again 😂

I've been trying to remember the name of this series for over a year! Finally, today when I described it to my sister, she remembered that Paul Nicholls was in it, which eventually led me here. Thanks for uploading it so we can enjoy it as much as we did the first time :)

Thanks for uploading, my siblings and I long forgot the title but always remember the heavily accented phrase 'I luckt into the flame' 😅😅😅

I've been searching for this for AGES! I watched it when I was a kid and it always stuck with me. I forgot the name of it then I could only suspect it was called Earthfasts after much searching and only finding pictures of the kid actors! I remembered the scene of the kid getting struck by lightning, then him talking to the other one in the candle flame. Anyway, thankyou so much for uploading! I thought I'd end up dying without finding it!!!

Same here! All I could find with Google was Children Of The Stones which aired in the 1970's.

I remember this but I've never been able to remember the name. All I could recall was that it was set around a stone circle. What year was it broadcast? It would be good to see it again.
