More of this classic BBC children's drama from 1994, based on the novel by William Mayne. The serial was filmed on location in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and the surrounding Wensleydale countryside. Two of its cast would become stars in adulthood - Paul Nicholls ("Eastenders"), who plays David, and Bryan Dick (movies such as "Master and Commander"), who plays Nellie Jack John.
