Earthion (アーシオン) is being developed by Ancient Corp. and Yuzo Koshiro.
Yuzo Koshiro dropped some new footage for his upcoming shmups Earthion on the Megadrive. This time he's giving us a glimpse of what the music will sound like. According to him this isn't the final soundtrack and he's still searching for fresh ideas. This game couldn't come out any sooner!!! Enjoy!!!

Yuzo's game might be the ONLY new Megadrive game I'm excited about, because it feels 100% like a game from the early 90s, unlike the others. People don't understand that it's not about the pixel art. It's about the FEELING it conveys.

@@mxggo9046 Huuuuuuuuuh?😨Every console had great shmups like that in the 90s. Megadrive: Musha, Panorama Cotton, Thunder Force III/IV... Neo-Geo: Blazing Star, Last Resort, Pulstar... Super Nintendo: Axelay, R-type III, Spriggan Powered... Saturn: Batsugun, Battle Garegga, Cotton 2, Dodonpachi, Gradius, Layer Section, Parodius, Radiant Silvergun, Raystorm, Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus, Thunder Force V, etc.

I'm with you it's the only new megadrive game I plan on buying, I've loved Yuzo since I first played Revenge of Shinobi back in 1990, this is the exact type of arcade game that would have been huge in the 90's, zpf looks like a iPad game in comparison to this.

Nice. I think due to the DMA capabilities of the VDP used inside the Mega Drive/Genesis, the console has a lot more graphical power than originally thought due to the cartridge size limitations of the day. Give it some NeoGeo cart memory sizes and it will turn into a NeoGeo.

Bro we need a new shmup console that can be somewhat competitive with Nintendo and Xbox Series S. It would probably be niche more than likely, but in this day and age with the internet it could have a solid support and made a decent profit

😵 😱 u know what .!! Both our ideas in one. Just reproduce the cdx without the battery and cd player and cd player buttons . If it can play sega Saturn games too would be beautiful

If games like this and papprium and demons can make the genesis keep evolving In sound and color then why Even let the genesis die. Sega realize what going on. And reproduce the genesis . With a little tweak hardware . And update the 6 button controller To include Two shoulder buttons, and longer handles

For Sega to bring back the mega drive, and just include the Mega CD hardware inside would make all the sense in the world. If they price it as a niche product to cover the high unit cost I think they would have the dedicated audience. These people making these amazing games deserve to have their games be official.
