Jeremey here! it was a lot of fun and was great to meet some new people (and learn some things) I’m glad to have shown you Juneau unlike a lot of other visitors will see. Did a lot in 6 hours! - I started filming my gold prospecting trips now - I’m editing my first video now!
I just found your channel last night, and I wanna say… I used to love geology as a kid. I would collect gemstones, and geodes, and all sorts of rocks and coins I would find in nature. You are reinvigorating my love of this kind of thing. I might have to start panning myself as summer rolls around.
Didn't know you an ARMY Veteran or I would have subscribed a long time ago. I served with the 82nd Airborne division 2/504 Infantry from 1978-1980. I switched to the Navy and Retired in 1994. Thank you for your service and for these great videos.
Hi Ken, My dad Sam Jacobs was in the 82nd and 101st airbourne. He was in the 507th in WW2. He was sgt of the guard at the Berlin HQ for Ike. PS thanks 4 your service! JJ USN CV66 and CVN 69. vf142 Tomcats 75-79
In the Navy I was the USS HARRY W.HILL DD986, during the Persian Gulf war, at NAS CORPUS CHRISTI at the very beginning of the War in Iraq and then at NAS LEMOORE during the war and finnished off at NAVAL HOSPITAL BALBOA in October 1994, medically retired, disabled.
I am going to try to patreon you $10.00 a month. I would do more but living off of my VA disability pay makes things kind tight, that's why I am trying to learn prospecting from you and Gary-twotoes. Thank you, again!
Thanks for the tag along on a sweet adventure...Glad your camera, and your hide are oh kay after your spill...glad it wasn't filming...that would not be a clip to remember...Awesone countryside and forestlands. and great times with new friends...all in all a super vid 👍
I got teary eyed seeing my old home base of Juneau. Definitely seeded at the basin, as those half-barrels were not even there during my stay. Congratulations on finding gold up the perseverance trail,i think they seeded way up there as well(lol). Glad you could experience what i did for 20 years in Juneau. It really is a wonderful place to live and raise kids. Happy trails!
OKAY I'M MOVING. BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. I HAVE AN EARTHQUAKE APP AND SAW JUNEAU HAD A COUPLE OF SMALL 3.2 TREMORS THE OTHER DAY AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU WERE THERE AND FELT THEM. ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR ADVENTURES.
This is funny! My wife and I visited that exact spot on our Alaskan Cruise, the Tour guide had pans already filled with paydirt for us...seeded I'm sure with a bit of gold in each pan, after you pan your seeded paydirt, you can pan any other spot until it's time to leave. One little boy about 8 or 9, took his full (dry) pan of paydirt and turned it upside down into the creek and said "Where's my gold?"...His dad told him "You just dumped it into the river!" It was a fun excursion off the cruise ship and we got a wee bit of gold from our pans, LOTS of fun and yep, it got me interested in looking for more!
I watch your vids often. This 50 state endeavor, for Ohio I had a small idea for you since Ohio isn't really known for it's gold. There is some, from the research i've done, mostly "fly poop" or "flower gold" most of which is located in southern Ohio from the glacier movements pushing it south. There is a possible metal detecting area for (my guess as I don't even own one) would be the Mohican River. This river sees A LOT of tourism swimming, tubing, and canoeing (loads of camp grounds in the area). I remember my first time canoeing this river. I was 13-14 years old (now 41) in the Boy Scouts, we took a 10 mile run. I think it would be a safe bet to assume that over the last 25 years (at least) there should be all sorts of jewelry, phones, etc in this river. Many parts are knee deep shallow, with others reaching 8-16ft deep. The GPAA does own a couple small claims in Ohio, one is in Butler. Loudenville only a 15-20 min drive from Butler is a major starting point for most using the river. Just an idea for you and your crew. P.S. I am not in anyway shape or form affiliated with any business or company in or around the area. Purely my opinion.
So cool bro, an for the record, I'm also a vet, EX- AF, E-4 Sgt, funny how ALOT of us like the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, camping, panning etc, etc, loved this vid Bro, always been a dream of mine to go to ALESKA
You ask @ 9:32 - "what State are you in?".............. total State of excitement Shane, total state of excitement.!!!!!!!! This is definitely a bucket list place. Thanks so much for sharing it. So wild and beautiful, probably your top State so far. Cheers for the greatest vid so far :)
Thank you so much for your service God bless you and your family and if you talk to those other guys from this video tell them the same and I really mean this from the bottom of my heart
Watching this video, you guys are riding bikes and you stopped to look so in the video you show a waterfall, i was just thinking, how much gold do you think is in that waterfall pool, wish I could try to find out. Beautiful country, absolutely beautiful. You know I am 58 years old and am an old disabled veteran, i never used to see the beauty in this world, different places and all of gods work. That is until I had my 1st massive heart attack. I've had 7 heart attacks and the widow maker twice plus quadruple bypass. What I'm trying to say, take your time, smell the roses and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you cuz at any time it can be taken away, we are not guaranteed tomarrow
Prospecting might be a better hash tag for you. Thank you for doing these videos. I enjoy learning new things, gold prospecting and panning being a recent interest.
What a wonderful ride, and holy cow those were some awesome looking stringers running through the bedrock along that trail! I can almost smell the gold...Yukon Cornelius would be having an aneurysm hiking through there! It seems like you got above where the established lode gold was sloughing into the creek, but by finding any you proved there's more big stuff up stream somewhere! Watching your videos makes it easier to deal with my disability and not being able to do this anymore. I was never on Gold Creek when I was in Juneau but I went over to that glacier! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Dragon fire, I appreciate you going back and watching some of last year's videos! Please let me know you've been there by leaving comments and I'm sure Jeremy, Justin and Brandon will also see this comment and we appreciate it!
Hi I firstly want to say. I've only been watching your video's for the last couple of months. Prospecting at home (Lol such a con. Unless just for fun). I admire your work and today subscribed to your channel. Wow firstly I didn't know that you was in the forces.. Congratulations from the bottom of my Hart. Thank you for anyone who has took that Brave choice in life. So you are a Veteran and importantly. So are the three other people with you. It was something that I deeply regret never doing myself. But as I now know. All is not right. I don't want to talk about this on your channel. As I have my channel for that. So thank you for your work and interesting true informative work. Thank you
I moved to Juneau 7 years ago, I started panning at the creek there afterwork. Now sometimes after work wait until all the tourist leave then I clean the barrels, so far I have 11 grams from last summer
There is some awesome videos about the '64 Juneau earthquake here on ewetoob. In one it shows a street that split lengthwise in the middle to a height of almost 15'🤯
You, Pauly, and Dan should come to Oregon ! There is a legend of a good vein in the Tillamook forest that produces nuggets the size of baseball's !!! Wouldn't that be awesome !
What a beautiful place to pan for some gold! The waterfall and the glacier are stunning! In fact, the entire nature out there is amazing. 😍 I'm curious where you're next trip will go to. Love your adventures.
He said i just ate it😂🤣😭 anyway hope you feeling better... love the video dude. 4 veterans thats dope 🍻. Definitely looks like Hawaii 🤔. Looks like a great place to prospect👌 love the video. Great job thank you for sharing...👍
Sounds good! If you have more specific info..available dates, type of treasure hunting, location, etc... please email me sjklesh@gmail.com so I can refer back to your email because I'll lose this comment! Thanks!
What a beautiful area. After watching this video Juno was added to my bucket list of places to see. Thanks for sharing. You could have done a whole video on just your biking excursion up the mountain.
Thanks for taking me along. Had a great time watching did you have to water that face plant better you than me brother. I too am a vet United States Army 1981 thank you for your service.
I’m sure the camera did not do it justice but that was some beautiful scenery. It was nice you met up with those guys. There are some GREAT PLACES to find gold in Juneau Alaska. I just really think those guys need some practice and learn a lot more. You should have been able to find more gold than that. But I’m sure it was amazing just to be there. Sorry you took that bike spill, it looked like it hurt a lot more than you let on......tough dude Shane👍👍👍
Dang can't believe I missed this one till now. Must have been working. Dude what a spill hope your back's okay. Awesome Alaska Vlog dude and good way to cherry-pick those buckets of water! Till next time my friend. Great video as always!
Hi sweetie first of all I want to say thank you for your service and please tell the other guys thank them for their service for me great video beautiful scenery I would love to do that now I’m watching you give me the thrill my hips couldn’t take it anyways great video I know you’re home now so you’re safe bye-bye
Looked like a good time! I dont classify pans, after probably 50 pans with 50 pans without, I found no difference in gold take. (assuming a good technique, and riffle pan)
Alright that was some beautiful country side!!! And did you right the music for this vid? If so I would really like to here you pour your heart into a tune reminiscing on you adventures!! The tune was plucking on my hair's and making them stand up. Nice!!!!! Thanks for sharing your adventure!!!! 😁
@@Klesh if you have some time check out my vid on rock hounding or cutting a Michigan thunder egg!! Those are rare. Still learning editing so it's not the best quality. That would cool if you left a comment on how I could improve. Thank you kind sir and keep up the great adventures. I think it would be cool to see you and Jeff Williams calab on a vid. Maybe a wild west scene!!!
Very cool video!! I am in southern Oregon now but grew up in Anchorage...AK is an awesome state!! I need to check to see if you’ve come through Oregon yet! Cheers Shane ✌️
