Hi, I'm looking at this and the MXR Bass Envelope Filter. I have a preference for the MXR because I have other MXR bass pedals, but from the demo this was impressive too. The MXR doesn't have a 'filter' knob but it has other knobs to modify the sound. What are your thoughts in comparison to the MXR?

AlfaPegasii I have the MXR as well and have used it for several years now. Truth be told my favorite settings on this were the two in the very beginning. Check out Will's video on the Aguilar FilterTwin. He did such a good job I'm going to steal his haha! Thanks for watching!

I have same pedal, and it's blow away my speaker at the SH mode. Are you have no problem with that type of sound, or just reduced it in post-production?

Are you a teenager? Envelope filters have been around and used by bassists since the 70s. If it is a "gimmick" it is a gimmick that has been really popular for over 45 years.
