Generic president is still in the top 5 IMO. economy was great under him, Hardly any over seas conflicts, and crime was low. I miss you generic president
I have to say, I wasn't a fan of some of his stances, but he definitely was a guy who had some good idea on certain things. Definitely one of the most presidential guys ever to have the job of being the president.
99% approval rating, listens to the people, fosters good international relations, and implements quality education reform. Just a shame he quadrupled the National Debt by losing a game of Deal or No Deal.
People like you often ignore the fact, that his cereal sanctions were hastily planned and pushed through with the help of his congressional yes-men and all around public insecurity. Just think... what demographics eat the most cereal, huh? Gene Eric was even worse than President Eimnotaforainspei, who was literally just a foreign spy!
that's in case there's another white house fire and they have to rebuild it again. Presidents are historically bad at cooking. Then there was that time that the whole place subsided due to a very angry mole...
Don't let his charisma make you forget what he did to that generic middle eastern country, and how his interference made that generic African civil war even worse
@@yazidefirenzeYeah. His weird generic moustached head of a generic Russian federal police force surely does seem suspicious. Esspecially with his generic ideology that isn't in any way, shape, or form, matches the generalized idea of communism
@@theylivewesleep.5139 wasn’t there like a shot of him nibbling on a kid or somethin? Didn’t he also take a vacation for a week and a half and didn’t say anything about it? Joe just seems like an old creepy tired guy tbh
The animation is stellar, so it's clear they're hiring the right people and putting the effort in. That means we SHOULD be able to expect good writers, as well.
It's not a reboot. They make references that it's been a while (exactly 25 years between the last show and now) since he's been in rehab, or however the joke went.
@@MrVariant funny thing is everybody says he's too old but he isnt even 5 years apart from the last guy. if trump somehow runs again he'll be exactly as old as when biden started his next chance.
@Jesse Mathis donno. obama was ok. really his only problem was that they wouldn't let him do anything and bogged any policy changes he attempted in legal crap from my outside understanding (i am not American)
@@CloudHiro Obama was tr4sh, he used the '' I came to the government in a crisis'' excuse to keep rising public debt to the roof, he was only able to increase the labor force participation rate to pre crisis levels ( a less adultered statistic than employment since Obama's administration changed the definition of an employed person to someone seeking employment and recieving welfare ) in his last year of office, for this small increase in the level of employement of hte population he spent trillions. I can fix ANY country's economy with a trillion dollars, anyone with a modicum of common sense and economic knowledge cna do that, yet Obama barely scratched the crisis. He also drove the prices of healthcare to the sky and lied in public about it. He was an ''average'' president leaning to a bad one. Trump was an average president leaning to a good one ( his policies in fact increased the acquisitive power of the average household and drove employment up, his biggest fault was not balancing the budget but again, you can blame congress more for that than him, since it's Congress who decides the budget more than the president ).
Back in the 90s, It's objectively true that people weren't as hyper polarized as they are now, IE: Half of the world thinking that the other half of the world are subhuman morons, and the other half saying it right back. CONSTANTLY, WITHOUT REST. So many shows and series regardless of creator's stances now feel like someone somewhere is sneering down their nose at you and that crap gets old.
Jimmy Carter and JFK's fusion took the teleporter accident quite well. Guess you can't keep a Generic President down. EDIT: I also notice that he has Ford's chin and Reagan's hairstyle. Just what were are leaders up to in the 1960s-1970s to have all of them in the same Star Trek teleportation pod.
The dash of Kennedy. The teeth of Carter. The chin of Ford. The hair of Reagan. The height of Lincoln. The jowls of Nixon. The cheekbones of Wilson. Damn. This man really is the generic president of the USA.
I legitimately think we should add a law making anyone over 50 ineligible for the office of President of the United States. We’ve had out-of-touch geezers making decisions for the young for far too long.
@@WASDLeftClick on one side I agree on the other I don't, older presidents are gonna have more experience but on the other hand they're gonna be more out of touch with more recent issues
@@WASDLeftClick Sounds legit. Maybe add 15 years, and cut it off if the person would be 65 before inauguration Day. That's a 30 year window, plus 4 if you become President right before turning 65. No one in office if they're 70.
Tommy Tallarico (the guy who bought Intellevision and is releasing the console) was the head of music for the original Earthworm Jim games and a good friend of David Perry, the man who founded Shiny Entertainment (the company behind the original Jim games). 彡T H E M O R E Y O U K N O W ミ☆
Come on man, shows have been including current politics since the beginning of time, even in Earthworm Jim. There was one episode where Psycrow wants to take over the USA, but he's scared off when he sees the national debt. You didn't notice them originally because: A) You were a kid. B) The current politics being referenced weren't ones that upset you.
@@fireaza And it was done tastefully, they didn't shove down your throat. And stuff like the debt was objective. Most "politics" that make it in to tv today almost make Goebbels almost sound credible.
The writing on this show was so much more clever than people gave it credit for. Shared a lot of talent (animators, writers, artists, etc.) with the guys who did Animaniacs and Freakazoid and it really showed.
Makes me think of the X-Men cartoon from the 90´s who just had a female President there. Nothing major it just was like that. So sad we still have´t had anyone yet.
Reminds me of that one Christmas episode of Pinky and the Brain, where they made a very obvious deal about not showing the president's face any time he was talking. Camera shot from outside: "Agh, damn window, can't get it open... Well, Merry Christmas to you all anyway!"
Knowing Pinky and the Brain, that was probably an impeachment joke-they didn’t want to be stuck with an animated Clinton if Gore was in the office by the airdate. Here, it’s more of a broad “all TV does this” thing, whereas the Pinky example was in and of itself a political joke.
He Was Also The Voice Of The Genie After Robin Williams Left Due To Disney Screwing Him Over After The First Movie's Marketing Which Boasted About Having Him Star In It. Robin Told Disney Not To That He Wanted Them To Have The Marketing Focus More On The Characters And The Story Not The Celebrities Voicing Them. Disney Didn't Listen To Robin So He Left Vowing To Never Work With Them Again So For The Sequel Return Of Jafar Since Robin Wouldn't Come Back They Hired Homer J Simpson Himself Dan Castlenetta. He Voiced Genie Onwards Into The Animated Series Which Return Of Jafar Was Essentially A Pilot Episode. Disney Eventually Apologized To Robin Where He Returned To Be Genie in Aladdin Prince Of Theives. Which Was The Final Episode Of The Animated Series
Ahhh Generic President: after a successful election defeating Cartoonishly Evil President, he oversaw 4 long years of stable economy, low crime and high employment. Genuinely one of the best Presidents in my opinion. It’s a shame he lost re-election to Military Veteran President.
That silky voice can only belong to none other than the late Phil Hartman. Interesting to think that a lot of the Simpsons' prime voice talent could land roles in Kids WB fare and the like. (EDIT: Yep, turns out that voice could belong to someone other than Phil, and that someone is apparently Jeff Bennett. They do have similar range and cadence, so I stand that it wasn't too unreasonable to make the assumption.)
BokanProductions Ah hell, I was tired when I wrote that, so it must have been the McClure-esque cadence that threw me off. Bennett's range is similarly impressive.
It's always interesting when a film takes place in the 60's-70's so they have to cast a guy that feels like an uncanny mix of JFK, Nixon and Reagan. Obama made things a lot easier in that regard.
What the hell are you talking about? It's not a joke that require current cultural, social or political understanding at all, its a generic observation joke.
Smart move. If only more popular shows didn't look to reference things when they were still relevant. That's why The Simpsons should've stayed in the 90s and never reference Stranger Things.
