These are all the adult jokes in Season 1 of the Earthworm Jim series. There were 13 episodes in season one, and are taken from the original english version.
Why is it now that I’m realizing to see the reoccurring theme of main and side characters in obscure animated television series or movies having subtle homosexual and gay tendencies with each other?
And the fact that Doug TenNapel (the guy behind the Earthworm Jim video games) didn't like the animated series and only did it as a way to boost sales on the video games.
@@canaisyoung3601 That's because it had episodes that contradicted the anti-science mouthpiece he intended for the games to be. Professor Monkey-for-a-Head was invented as a jab at his biology teacher for daring to teach evolution... only for the Professor's most prominent episode to _embrace_ the idea that apes and humans were related. Oh, and an episode where a fish literally evolves to crawl out of the water... AND one where Santa was portrayed as a pagan deity. Yeah he was pretty pissed :P
Jim: "I'll solve this problem with my 4 hyper intelligent brains!" Jim's brains: "I'm hungry! I'm cold! I'm itchy! Where are the girls?" This joke has stuck with me since childhood into adulthood and it still cracks me up every time. 🤣GROOVY!
@@Wendy_O._Koopa Nah, that makes _more_ sense. Dressing him in drag is framed as being demeaning, and he hates it. Aka how a transphobe would write it.
Given a suit powered by the battery of the gods anyone could be. I don’t say that as a dig at Jim. I say that because I’m fairly certain they figured out how to manufacture those but are not releasing it to the public.
This show, one of the few obscure video game adaptions from the 1990s, definitely needs a recognition on how good it was. Probably one of the best ones out there IMO. Gladly the free streaming service Tubi got the complete series otherwise it'll be rather hard for anyone to upload any full EWJ episodes on RU-vid without receiving any copyright strikes.
Funny story, I grew up watching my dad play the video game adaptation and I never knew that it was a cartoon beforehand, I just learned of the cartoon a few weeks ago (I was born 2004, so the game is a little older than me). Honestly I'm sad my father never told me of the cartoon, I really liked watching him play the game.
0:30 Ah yes, an advanced, hyper-intelligent annelid with four brains, each representing a different function. The topmost brain is assigned to the process of sustenance and digestion. The following brain is in charge of evaluating and maintaining stablized bodily temperature. Up next is the brain responsible for the reception of response from the specimens numerous nerve endings. Finally, seemingly the most primal and active brain, both in conscious and in subconscious… And all it does is focus on looking for girls… Further research will be required.
No matter what show, if Charlie Adler and Jim Cummings are together, its gonna too Damn funny for its own good! Earth Worm Jim, Tiny Toons, Darkwing Duck...and I'm sure tons more I can't remember atm!
4:04 This makes me think of the John Mulaney story where he said he was writing a script for TV and he wrote something using the word midget. The producer walked into the room saying they couldn't use it, and when asked why, he said "midget is as bad as the n-word". John shut the idea down, saying "we're saying the word _midget_ right now, you won't even say what the n-word is."
When I did this, I knew that it wasn't just going to be sex jokes, there was also going to be tax jokes. I mainly did the compilation to prove to my friends that "yes there was a scene where Jim's battery is in his butt, I'm not crazy".
I remember watching Earthworm Jim on channel 4 back in the 90s when I was a kid and enjoyed watching , I'm really happy that the series is on complete DVD and got it so I can enjoy watching the episodes since the series is no longer broadcast on TV anymore. I still wished more of my 90s cartoons there were broadcast on channel 4 are finally released onto complete DVD at last like Space Cats, Creepy Crawlers, Super Dave, Hammerman, and The Adventure of Hyperman.
Ah, Rob Paulsen! The adorable voice of my childhood, we meet again. 🥰 Edit: I’ve been corrected. It’s Jeff Bennet, not Rob Paulson. Still a voice of my childhood 🥰
