EAS Scenario | SCP-106 "The Old Man" | Alert Containment Breach 

I love how it says “Robot Human” like the SCP foundation really cares.

Truth be told - an actual EAS would more than likely not have any mention of the SCP Foundation, nor would it refer to it as an SCP-XXXX or refer to anomalous properties as characteristics, unless it was a physical part of it's description. The Foundation would probably be referred to something as "an unnamed state/federal authority" or "unidentified research group working in cooperation with the state/federal authorities."

We are definitely doing our best to contain and control the situation. We are most positively not hiding in the closet crying.

You should make an EAS Scenario for SCP-001 “When Day Breaks”. Easily one of the most terrifying SCP stories out there imo.

I appreciate that this has its own visual style, never cuts to any sort of jumpscare of any kind, and it fairly accurate in terms of likely word usage for threats (otherworldly or otherwise) and is always done in a professional manner, very good stuff!

As someone who has unfortunately smelled what a decomposing human stinks like... The psychological help warning is something you probably want if you have ever experienced that stench.

This is technically what is known as a partial “SK-Class Broken Masquerade Scenario” (despite SK being reserved for a different k class scenario) which is only undertaken when the foundation believes there is no other way to protect humanity or their interests besides complete transparency and honesty for concise communication. It would be very unusual for them to “Lift the Veil” or “Break the Masquerade” the instant the breach occurs. However by the end of this I can absolutely see why they drop the act, shit has truly hit the fan and nothing is working against him.

Can we have an SCP/EAS video with a happy ending for once? It can be bleak, like SCP-001(The World's Gone Beautiful.) but happy. It can be bittersweet, but just a semi-happy one.

This feels more like a report than an emergency broadcast. A little too much information here and there, information which would increase panic but not aid survival. Great work regardless

I absolutely love these alerts, but if I were to do something different: For the SCP Foundation alerts specifically, I would have them specify that they were a once secret organisation dedicated to containing anomalous objects that may threaten humanity, and that they've regarded this breach as such a major threat to humanity that they're willing to break their silence to warn people. I feel like just the act of reviling their existence to the public could really put an emphasis on the severity of the situation, as oppose to feeling like it's a joke because "I've never heard of them before", or "who the hell are they?", etc...

Just some small gripes - the SCP foundation would never actually let their foundation name be listed in any public information release, and a public PSA that describes reports as "horrifying" or subject actions as "antics of this elusive creature" sort of muddies the immersion. Otherwise, an excellent job remaining accurate to the properties of the subject.

This legit feels like it could be part of some SCP analog horror series. Good work, man. Hope you do more. As a fan since 2019, this makes me so hyped to listen to. :)

These videos are great! I just binged all of them lol. Have you ever thought of doing a “broken masquerade” EAS where the Foundation reveals itself for the first time through the alert system? Maybe due to some world ending anomaly or something. You would absolutely nail it with this style!

So if it spends hours toying with it's victims, shouldn't that limit the damage it can do? Like, basically the max death rate from this thing should be a few people per day. Honestly if 106 breached containment, I wouldn't be too concerned until I heard "instances of 106" or something to that effect.

The thing is, the death count actually isn't that high. Over the course of the the messages that would only be a microscopic amount.

I like that you can only leave your house if there's an emergency or you need to work. Very realistic

I think at most the SCP foundation wouldn't say nearly as much as they are and would simply tell people how to identify, avoid and survive him not telling him all details about him and his breach. The Foundation is too secretive for that.

I guess the easiest way to avoid 106 would be to get in a car, go in whichever direction 106 isn't and call the hotline number later Also we *_know_* those humans are no part robot

Fun fact, this Scp is actually still out of its containment to this day. The femur breaker was actually destroyed by an unknown Scp due to the fact that it was tired of the screaming caused by this contraption. This immediately went south and scp 106 escaped its containment and has not been seen ever since it's initial escape. Remember "the Smiles Guy" is real and he will play with you. Just be lucky you never get to see him.

There is a LOT of information here that would absolutely send everyone into a blind panic. I can't imagine the Foundation would give out this much information to alert the public to the danger - they would probably stop at "look out for a humanoid with the appearance of an old man in an advanced stage of decomposition, do not approach him, here's a hotline, here's a few tips to avoid him but we won't say why they work".

I feel like saying “pocket dimensions” would be too much information to the average joe, I’d just say “can go through physical objects”~

Hm. I enjoy how in-depth this goes into the SCP and its powers and such, but in terms of the language of the emergency announcements, it’s a bit too…colorful. Too literary. Painting too much of a picture rather than being more dull, but straightforward. Still, a fantastic production.
