Imagine walking and seeing some guy with nigh vision goggles swinging at the air

fun fact: these guys actually can be seen with the naked eye! only sometimes, though. "they only appear between the wavelengths of 700 nm to 900 nm" This indicates they are a bright red color. The limits of human vision are 400 nm to 800 nm on average. So yes, you have a chance to take a sneek peek at them.

At 2:50 there’s a phone number that if you call, an actual pre-recorded message of an SCP scientist will ask where 966 is.

The "worst" at the end nearly made me have a heart attack.

As interesting as this is, it doesn't seem realistic. SCP-966 is frail, and its claws aren't very strong and can break easily. Most of their danger comes from their invisibility, which again, is counteracted by night vision goggles. There's nothing really stopping a group of soldiers from mowing them down, or even just tranquilizing them like would be expected for the foundation.

This is amazing however it is a bit unrealistic that the number of 966’s would become so high, as Scp-966 is weak, and a good swing of a bat could kill it, and the Scp-Foundation is highly skilled, and would most likely contain the Scp’s. Good content nonetheless.

I feel like the SCP Foundation wouldn't reveal their name as their purpose is entirely concealed from the public to not arise panic or suspicion. Using SCP-966's exact designation makes sense but perhaps using only a nickname would be better realistically, so that the general public could remember and grasp onto a common colloquial term to call them rather than having to spout out the mouthful that is S-C-P Nine Sixty Six. Having watched a few of these EAS's this has been a thing I've noticed and for me it doesn't make sense again in a more realistic sense. A lot of these would just be my headcanon for the SCP Foundations actual actions if they had to release an alert to the public, adapt if you wish, but just my suggestions, you could even just refer to the foundation as "an anonymous international organization" or the scp as "the entity". EDIT: I still really enjoy these either way, I hope to see you grow huge in the future, 20k subs is just too low for something of this quality.

One thing I found interesting... On the webpage for SCP-966 it lists two countries where they are found frequently. One with five letters and a two word country with five and seven letters (both redacted). Now, the first one could be anything from China, Gabon, Japan, India, Chile, and many, many more, but I found no UN member that fit the criteria for the second (except for maybe Saint Vincent, who's full name has "and the Grenadines" at the end but I'm not to sure). I went to a list of ISO country codes which includes a lot of unrecognized countries. I found that the Aland Islands, American Samoa (if you flip it around), Cocos Islands, Faroe Islands, and South Georgia (which is part of a larger territory) fit. They also could be official names, but I don't know why they would use those instead of their normal common names. In the case of Samoa, American (which is still a bit of a stretch) it could be that and the country of Samoa (5 letters), since they are close to each other, but I'm not convinced because of the weird ordering of the words in American Samoa you would have to do. It could be South Georgia and Chile, which are also somewhat near each other, but as said earlier South Georgia is part of a larger territory called South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. It seems the most likely in this case, especially if they are isolating the South Georgia part in case they aren't on the Sandwich Islands, but it still seems unlikely to me. If you find anything let me know in the replies.

I remember when I first watched a video of this SCP it was scary as hell. Just not being able to fall asleep, even if your in a coma you get no rest from it, is a terrifying concept

the last one is actually kind of scary not going to lie. SPOILERS: You are in your basement, alone, scared. You do not know how long you have left. Your food supply is low. Your stomach growls as you think about your loved ones. You can not call them since you do not know if there is one stalking them. As far as you know, they are all dead. You have ordered your night vision goggles, but they aren't coming because no one wants to go out. Food stock at stores are gone. The streets are visually barren, and no sounds are audible. You are sitting in front of your television, waiting for updates. You cannot sleep however you don't know if it's because you are scared, or if its due to the SCP. You are laying down and you all of a sudden hear the alarm. It's an update on your situation. SCP-966B has populated the world, and nuclear bombs have been sent throughout the nation. You are shocked to see that your state has not been chosen. You are relieved until you start thinking about the afterwards. The winters, atmosphere, other countries. Escape to other countries will still mean difficulty since there could be an SCP onboard and sent to Europe. and the nuclear winter will cover Europe. Truly terrifying.

it didnt seem that they would be a scp that reproduces at a signifigant rate, and the foundation has dramatically reduced their population globally, so it seemss unlikely that 4 instances in a known location with foundation and military presence could loose control to this scp.

their claws are considered "unfit for combat" since they are so thin and weak like the rest of their body. im pretty sure they can be killed by the average person so long as they can be seen especially if said person is armed. still i loved this one

This is the first one I ever watched and I was staying in a hotel in North Dakota for the night. I watched it at 1 AM. Did not sleep until sunrise.

I like this better than an Nuclear attack, virus, or a asteroid scenario because I know this is fake but something like an asteroid could actually happen.

Repeatedly misspelling “casualties” as “causalities” really breaks the immersion, especially when read aloud by the TTS. Causality is the very nature of cause and effect. Casualties are people who died.

If these were the SCP-966s from Containment Breach, this would've been resolved in a few hours. These guys are slow as all hell and skinnier than twigs. The only reason I wouldn't be able to beat the living crap out of one is because I'd be afraid of losing my ability to sleep.

This eas is amazing but the only think I have a problem with is when you describe the claws sure they are sharp but they are EXTREMELY fragile. A single swipe can break their own claw.

Anyway, as an SCP Expert, i can say they wouldn’t just put this on like every TV in the city of the containment breach, they would keep it secret, but tell everyone to evacuate, and the MTFs will recontain it.
