You will only need any lvl 100 smeargle with the moves spore and super fang,
It isn't needed, but it is better to have one that has the following specifications:
Impish nature
Evs: 252 sp def, 252 def
Ivs: 25+ hp, 25+ defense and 25+ sp def, 25+ speed is optional

thanks for this!, I would also include Soak for Grass types, it was really useful for when I tried catching a Leafeon, probably also for ghost types. I'll make sure to have at least 2 Smeargles with that set next time I go Alpha hunting.

Those are kinda hard to teach, for batton pass you have to use it and make it fail, so don't have any party member available and for substitute you have to make it fail by not having enough hp and using it, this will make it fail!

Do not buy balls from the gtl, they are always a bit more expensive and it just doesnt make sense, not really sure why you recommended it..

Sometimes people haven't completed the region that is needed to unlock them, for instance dream balls are purchased in Johto, not everyone will have access to that, even tho its true that the gtl is a bit more expensive, it gives the access to the items from any region.
