Super easy how instructions to replace your battery or alternator for 2008-2017 Buick Enclave, 2007-2016 GMC Acadia, 2009 - 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, or 2007 - 2010 Saturn Outlook.
Takes around 3 hours: 6 bolts (+2 nuts on alternator studs), 3 plastic clips, 2 electrical connectors, and the belt tensioner (just moves with a 1/2" drive).
Other people take off tires, remove wheel well components, or take out electrical fuse boxes, I found my way a bit easier.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Sockets: 7, 10, 13, and 15 mm
1/4 drive wrench and extensions
3/8 drive wrench
Wrenches: 15 mm, and a larger wrench if you want leverage
(ratcheting wrenches are faster)
1/2 drive breaker bar or wrench (to loosen belt torsion)
Flathead screwdriver and a torx screwdriver bit/screwdriver
Lights, jack/jack stands, nitrile gloves, rags, multimeter is optional
Both my battery and alternator went bad, but battery was under warranty so no cost to replace it. Bought my lifetime warranty alternator at a local car parts store for $200.
