This was a perfect solution. After both of getting blisters, I started searching RU-vid and we found the answer. We drive 30 minutes to get the tool, but it was well worth it.
Thank you! We had padding glued to lineoleum, and read that we couldn't use any sort of chemical treatment as it'd damage the vinyl plank we wanted to use. This worked great compared to scraping.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I started with a floor scraper. It works, with a lot of scraping and patience. I had a 3" wire brush for my angle grinder, so I tried it. It works like a charm; quick & easy. You just saved me a ton of work.
Just tried all the different methods and gotta say, this works. I used a similar bit with an angle grinder rather than drill or driver on a concrete slab. The DIY wire brush bits for your drill aren't heavy duty enough.
Just use Jasco paint removal it works best lay it on and in 10 mins get a plastic putty knife and it scrapes off like fresh paint just make sure you have some buckets to toss all the foam and material into
I removed backing from an old carpet that was stuck to tile. It was real quick and easy to scrape it up using the sharp edge of my garden spade but now I need to know what product to buy or mix( too bad I can no longer use the Clorox & ammonia)mix with hot water mix!!), to finish cleaning up the residue from the stuck on backing. I want to keep the tile and mop and wax it afterwards. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Just found another way, especially indoors. Use the environmentally friendly orange colored stripper gel. Apply it thick after taking off the padding. Cover it with plastic, allow it to soak 6-8 hours….then scrape it off.

Your video talks about getting carpet up. But instead we’re getting all this talk before hand I don’t wanna hear about what you should do just get to the point please
Actually if the carpet is dried out/ stuck enough, then a bigger scraper will only make it harder. (Talking from experience), A smaller scraper will get the force/area=pressure greater and make it easier to remove smaller chunks.
