With there being thousands of cooks that are more original, interesting, attractive, talented, the least you can do is cook correctly...starting with onion and garlic first so the shrimp isn't overcooked...

it's actually not that "original", it's one of the many classic ways of making fried rice. sometimes it's only the egg yolk that is mixed in with the rice. it helps separating the rice
My suggestion is to put the onions first for some great scent and flavour and then the frozen vegetables then, this is the important part, the prawns or shrimps should go later because with the really hot wok, they will cook very very quickly and get overcooked, it will have a softer texture if it's cooked perfectly

Actualy this is not fast or even delicious hayiia uncle Roger wuld be angry its egg fried rice no vegie this is not soup and you supose to make eggs with rice not eggrice hayiiah and next time no sripms or chilli souce stay tradicional hayiaah

For anyone wondering, that’s a day old cold rice. Please try not to use fresh steamed rice that is still hot and fluffy if you don’t want wet and sticky fried rice.
First of all, salt choice and execution not great, also, never start with protein. Always start with the onions and everything else. Brown them up a, get some flavor there and then throw the protein, especially shrimp. Come on now.
I'm a big fan of adding the eggs directly to the rice. That way every grain of rice has a little bit of that fried egg attached to it and it gets super fluffy. It won't come out like traditional fried rice, but it's still pretty damned delicious : D
I just fried rice. I put the eggs on the rice I was too lazy to cook the eggs separately. Haha I just finished eating it thinking hmmm it worked out well dumping eggs into the rice and here you are.... Haha
NOOOOOO thats not how you do it. Thats why they call it fried rice you have to fry em first not mix it with egg and soy sauce. Now you make the rice so sticky and mooshy😅😅😅
All of these people acting like Uncle Roger are so annoyingly pervasive. They are focusing on the nitpicky things rather than realizing there’s more than one way to create fried rice.
I told my friend that I'm tired of easting non veg Chinese food and he said bro you only tasted like 8 Chinese non veg food there is like a thousand recipes how can you say your tired of them all, I said its because the recipes are almost all the same with all those soy sauce and other sauce all those meat be it pork beef duck chicken or lamp is the same in colour and in taste, of course they are gonna smell and taste a little different it's different animals but the basics is the same... I'm just tired of those fucking sauce and those green onions and scallions
Thank you Mandy. I've been telling people for so long that YES, you can put vegetables in fried rice. The essence of fried rice is not wasting leftovers.
raw rice or was that fully cooked or par boiled?... curious me....... i was told to use raw rice and keep adding broth until soft and truly called fried rice.... yours looks deeeeelish.
It takes less time in the reverse order, shrmp, veggies, eggs, rice, chicken powder, sugar. Soy sauce, oyster sauce, continue to stir the first three ingredients until eggs are soft, spread rice, season, and at end add scallions, sesame oil. Not greasy, not dry
