This video is for senior golfers who would like to learn an easy golf swing, a pain free golf swing and one that can add more distance to your drives.
I coach a number of senior golfers all looking who are often looking for more distance on their drives. They often have back pain, neck pain and a generally lack of flexibility that they feel prevents them from hitting the ball far. In this weeks training you will learn a simple pain free golf swing that will have you bombing your drives in no time.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RU-vid and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

65 year old here, returning to golf after about 20 year layoff. Just saw this video yesterday. I practiced it with my 6 hybrid (that's what I tee off with. I'm working up to driver), 8 hybrid and pitching wedge off the ground, and used the "rocking with heel lifts and head turn" today on the course. I was able to get better swing speed for more distance, and I got the ball into the air more often (instead of "grounders"). It really helped. Thanks Danny!

I have gone back five years to view this video again and still enjoy watching someone teaching golfers the “Easiest Swing” method that has been beneficial to not only seniors , but anyone wanting a simple method of hitting a golf ball. So many instructors use the positional method, comparing their methods to those of a touring professional, forgetting that pros are special athletes who work at this sport for a living and most of us don’t. Learn the “Easiest Swing” method , your body will appreciate it as you age and you will enjoy the game into your late 80’s. 👍🇨🇦👨‍🦳

This swing and dance routine has added 50 yards onto my drives. I was so fragile with my sciatic back that I had reverted to a simple arm swing. Now I am hitting the ball straighter and longer with all my clubs. Cannot thank you enough for getting me back in the game.

I’m 64 and have had op’s on both knees and over the past few months been struggling to make a turn and my golf was going backwards every week . After watching Danny Maude on here and following his simple steps for seniors , In 4 weeks have dropped from a 16 handicap , which I was finding hard to achieve , to a 13 and in all honesty feel I can go lower . It’s made me enjoy my golf again , where I was in the maybe giving up mode before.

Chunk, top, chunk, top...back pain, late pain, hamstring tightness...until I typed in the search "fluid golf swing for 65 year old." And of course, it's a video fromDanny. I practiced the steps in the kitchen, then took it outside. And after making sure I wasn't letting my arms get lazy and I was getting my shoulders around... boom! Now, I'll never be mistaken for Bryson Dechambeau, but I'll take an extra 20 yards and straight...any day! Thanks Danny!

I am 81 plus and my game and swing has been one where it was a total arm swing with no real body movement. My feet were glued to the ground. This is the first video I have viewed that actually proved useful. I tried your technique yesterday and it worked. I was on a Par 5 that I never reached in less than four shots. I was on in three and amazed as were the others who have played in my foursome and know my game. It is not a move I do as regular as I want (YET) but that will come with use. Thank you for a very informative and useful technique that was easy to do, even for this very OLD body. You have given me new excitement and added length to my game. Something I almost believed was not doable. On the next hole, which is a dogleg left I never hit it far enough to really get a shot to the green. I did yesterday and my teammate who is a 7 said they previous par and drives was not a fluke; I was becoming the real thing. Did not get there in two but was on in three and two putted. I have very happy with a bogey, as this is out #1 handicap hole.

I am a senior golfer aged 77 and after watching this video and your video on the driver for seniors, I want to comment. I'm really keen to practice the driver lesson since I feel that for all senior golfers, we can feel much better about the game if we can draw the ball regularly. However, I note that for this iron lesson, it encourages letting the left heel rise on the backswing. I used to do this to try to get more distance, but I found that on the downswing, my feet tended to move excessively and my balance was lost. I also found that as a result, I was not hitting the ball in the centre of the face, which is more critical for irons. So maybe there's a missing key point to avoid excessive lower body movement on the downswing. I also often get the dreaded chicken-wing which results in short weak shots to the right. All comments will be appreciated. Regards, Les Barclay.
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude 5 лет назад
Thanks for your interest Les, lifting the left heel really helps with mobility but may require a little practice at home just getting the feeling and balance...the chicken wing is simply a lack of rotation of the lower body...better foot work will help this

As a 22 year old, I've been taught the "proper" way to swing because who is more flexible than kids and young adults? Golf pros and coaches would freeze me at my backswing and force more rotation; I thought "is golf really this uncomfortable?" Inconsistency and lack of distance made golf even more frustrating on top of the pain and soreness I felt after a short range session. I was dealt the hand of short muscle fibers and extreme tightness despite an active lifestyle growing up. I may have the flexibility of a middle-aged man, but I can finally enjoy golf and can do so pain free. Cheers Danny!

Indeed, a well explained summary of the Positive Impact Golf teaching method. Suitable not only for seniors, also for anyone that does not fit into the category of very flexible athletes. I learned the method works reasonably well, provided: 1 no ''hitting at the ball'' impuls, and: 2 Finish your swing, let the clubhead end behind your back

Appreciated the advice for senior golfers...the majority of weekday recreational golfers are seniors. The majority of golf instructors are not tapping into this market source. Instead, they are split screening a recreational golfer to a pro in giving golf lessons....wrong approach. It should be a split screen to another recreational player the instructor had success with similar age and flexibility issues. If instructors were evaluated on the success of their students......there would be fewer instructors as only ones demonstrating success would be sought for instructions. As to using Brian Sparks' instruction...so what, if it will help others. Good ideas should be embraced and shared. There are few original ideas in golf...the key is which ideas have merit for the student you are trying to improve. Again thanks for sharing, Tom

Thanks for that excellent lesson. I did all that but my ball fades almost 180 degrees left to right that it always ends up in the rough or OB and always missing the fairway completely. You can also help by also talking about hand grip of the club. Don't be surprised that for us seniors we often may have to be reminded of some of the things we may have been doing fairly right in the past. Talk about the stance too and possible feet adjustments too. Help cure this ugly slice/fade. Thanks. Asuquo.

Very nice. I just watched a video where an 80 year old gentlemen was given a lesson on how to generate more power in his swing. Although it was a good lesson and the gentleman appeared flexible for his age , the first thought that came to my mind was that he’d develop aches and pains from the restrictions imposed in his swing. This is a far better way. Allowing mobility but keeping coordination.

I saw a video a few weeks ago called "The Easiest Swing In Golf". I'm 69 coming on 70 and playing off a 12 hcp. I have pretty good flexibility and hit a reasonable distance but as most golfers do, I'm always looking for extra yards. The closer you get to the green off your drive, the easier the second shot, right? So I thought I'd give the swing a chance. I loved it from the get go because iI felt free rather than inhibited throughout the swing. It promotes rhythm and the feeling you are swinging through the ball rather than hitting at it and that promotes a free flowing swing with more natural rather than forced club head speed. Following the change my next three rounds went from 34 stabledford to 36 and then 39! However because one is hitting the ball better the temptation is to start trying to swing harder. Don't! You'll lose the rhythm and with it the distance you gained. I think this swing is not just for seniors but everyone! Good job guys.

Great advice Danny, I am 67 years of age and I have just clicked onto relaxing on the full swing last week lol and creating lag as with pulling down the butt of the shaft towards the ball, I keep the elbows down throughout my swing in keeping the triangle and tilting my head slightly to the right as Jack Nicklaus did in his older years and I have got to say I am now hitting the ball sweater and longer with a three quarter swing than I did in my youth! But your video is the best I have viewed in all the years I have been searching, great advice for us old yins! Many thanks Danny for helping us all out here as you explain each detail/s easily!

I sure have Danny, these past few day's after viewing your video's has helped me so much, my game just gets better each day, looking forward to this weekend comp, just a pity it is a bit late in the season, but yes am sure my handicap will come down, not played in a comp for a few weeks now due to the rain - I won't play in the rain! I play off 13, yet had a scratch 76 today -7 over par today, My mates can't get over the differance in my relaxation and seeing me out drive them all for a change - Thank to YOU Danny! You have given me back the enjoyment of the game we all love, my confidence is so high just now! THANKS again Danny!

Danny thanks for taking the time with the video. Most seniors I know in our 70's don't have the flexibility in our knees and hips to perform this drill. Most seniors cannot make a 3/4 back swing. Imagine your knees and hips encased in cement. Your arms struggling to go above shoulder height. OK now show me a video to help my swing.

hi Danny, I have a tip for you and those who are of a 18+ handicap .I tried it out with a 28 h/c player who was struggling to get the ball off the ground . 1st the player takes his/her/their stance and setup . 2nd take a coin place it right behind the ball . 3rd tell the player to look at that coin see it in his mind. 4th someone moves the coin and tells the player to try and hit the spot where the coin was nothing else . Suffice to say this guy was 140 yds out on a down slope , not only did he get the ball airborne but it stopped level with the pin , he then repeated this time and again and enjoyed the rest of the round. paul

Great video. I learned more in this video than I did from Brian Sparks book. I’ve watched a lot of Jillian’s videos also on the easiest swing in golf. One of the things I would REALLY like to know is what kind of distances this swing can give with different irons and driver for the average senior? I’m from Florida and would really love to take lessons for this if it was close enough. Thanks, Rick
@DanielMaude

Rick Simpler thanks for commenting Rick, it’s always a difficult one to put a figure on distance as everyone is different no matter what their age, all I can say is many of my clients who have adopted this method are really happy with their distance gains as they feel it’s come with a lot less effort

Thank you Danny great tips. As a senior myself may I also suggest a tip I was given a few years back. When setting up and addressing the ball I was advised to turn open my right foot outwards to help with my my shoulder turn on the back swing. Or even both feet slightly open to assist both back swing and follow through. It helped me. Maybe help others watch and read comments. Again thank you.

@@DanielMaude Thanks for the reply Danny. I think any golfer that just stands in the following through position right foot raised on the toe would find it more comfortable with the left foot slightly splayed out more. What I did was just that and returned to the address position and noticed my left foot a little more open than my right.
