Yeah I guess a degree of subjectivity applies. Personally I find Prot warrior much harder than pro paladin 😅 despite objectively the latter being harder. Solely because prot warrior doesn’t “suit me”
I honestly don't see anything difficult about spamming buttons, so I agree! I think people are heavily exaggerating the importance of spending time in consecration. Its cooldown is short enough and wasting a tier bonus isn't going to break the game for you unless you're in the cutting edge content.
Low skill floor high skill ceilling. Paladin has the highest carry potential out of all of the tanks due to the incredible amount of utility. Mediocre prot paladins are a dime a dozen but a truly good prot paladin is rare.
Same, i feel like prot paladin is one of the easiest for me, just stay in consecrate and spend holy power, or heal yourself to full hp if you're low while saving it, i guess holy power manangment might be the hardest part of the spec..
as a tank main that has mostly mained prot paladin, i'll have to object. though i understand this list is mostly subjective, prot paladin is an easy class to mess up (though nowadays it is much harder to mess up as prot thanks to sentinel and the return of eye of tyr, but to me at least it's overall an average tank as it usually depends if you're used to a spec with a bunch of defensives. and I also have to say blood dk in alot of scenarios has to make each death strike count, on top of having to manage bone shield and runic power. to me i think if we reverse blood dk and prot pally's places it's more like it
As a blood dk, the first 5-10 seconds of a pull are the worst, but thats only if im going into a pull with 0 bone armor. once the dungeon gets going i always try to make sure i have a bunch of stacks of bone armor going into a new pull
Owned, jk feel for u bro. I make my own groups and have a good squad so I don’t struggle. I also picked up tank dh start of s2 and it’s been a nice turn of events to be meta without chasing flavor of the month.
@@Clarity251 nah bro, there is only one tank in M+ and according to logs like 85% of players are playing vengeance, 7% prot paladin which are the best tanks sooo, most likely they will decline you and wait one minute and one of those 2 will pop up
@@Maximo-Maximus well I play all the tanks and some dps and playing meta classes starts getting important for the community in +20s and above. Of course it is always easier to find a group as a meta class, but if you compare the amount of dps and the amount of tanks and healers applying for a key it is still much easier as a non meta tank or healer than for a non meta dps. IO Score and GS still seems to play a way more important role.
I always thought brewmaster was too hard but honestly once you get a hang of the dps rotation and it becomes muscle memory, the defensive aspect becomes super easy imo! You always absolutely pump as a bm
u are not wrong there blood dk might seem easy but it is not u need to know the pulls and everything to plan ahead with resources also plan all of your cds not to mention the mobility
The only tank I have is Prot Warrior. It’s the only tank I find fun. But conversely, most of its time is spent sitting in Valdrakken being denied 18s at 2700 IO and 484 ilvl lol.
I play prot warrior, pally and bm and I deplete less keys on my paladin than warrior or monk. I don't feel like I have any issues surviving on either and with a good group/ healer all are fine. The problem seems to be the amount of poor healers that need the little boosts something like a pally can give through its heals, battle rez and shareable defensives.
For everything you said about prot pally concecration where you must stand in it for benefits, blood dk should get the same credit for difficulty/ annoyance involving that mechanic because blood is also dependent on standing in death and decay
It's the toxic community that's scaring you away. If you can find a safe place / run your own groups and just advertise as it being a chill / learning run, you'll find like minded folks
Just watch some tank mechanic videos so it will go smoother. But be prepared for all the silly dps antics of pulling for you on accident. It’s really nice though knowing the route and how many mobs you want to take makes things a lot easier. Keep your head on a swivel and watch those patrolling packs.
@@Trentbail23 I’ve been watching some guides, and have been making some MDTs for dungeons im not comfortable. I’ve been a dps slob since Pandaria so I’ve never even sniffed tank mechanics before this season. Like everything else I just need to commit
I had this too, was doing the blackrook hold dungeon, i didnt die once and suddenly they say i'm a noob tank and that i should uninstall just before second boss. Now i finished m20 as a tank:)
Try to push some higher keys as a prot warr and u will change your mind, that spell and dot damage that u take at some add groups and last boss from Rise u can fill it in your finger :) 🎉
I've been maining tank this whole expac. I've played all except prot paladin, though demon hunter is my most played. In my opinion, warrior is the easiest. You can focus on damage for like 80% of a dungeon or raid, until you get into specific boss phases or higher mythic keys. You get enough uptime on shield block to not worry about anything. That being said, it isn't quite as fun. Brewmaster is hard but it is hectic and fun as heck.
Good dk easy? The ping pong tank that is at 20% 1/2 of the time ? The rotation might be easy but the important part of tanking … being stable and having agro isn’t that easy
I got all portals (timed +20s) on Bear, Veng Dh, brewmaster and PPal.. For me the easiest is Veng, cause it's just tankier almost for free, even without active defensives. Some mechanics where we must push one good defensive CD on the others, on DH you can simply press the spikes and keep attacking comfortably. The damage spikes just hits less on them.
Actually i don't like my tank. Just because so many dps think they can pull what they want instead of let the tank pull... and if you let them die they flame you -.-
tanking or healing is so worth it just to get near-instant ques, try them out & help the poor dps wait less. if you like being at the top of dps then at lower lvs tanks & healers can out damage people often.
I main paladin , you speak the truth, i like that you spoke about the 2 holy power and having avengers shield but sacrificing it for getting that bit more holy power. But i still dont think its harder then brewmaster
I've seen SOOOO MANY bad gurdian druids. One of them is my friend. He is playing with weird talents, doesn't use ironfur , swipe is his top dps ability and he is somehow 2700 rio. I've tried to help him multiple times but he just doesn't want to listen.
In season 2 there was at least 1 guardian druid who got Title without ever pressing ironfur if he played in Season 2 he might believe it is similar strenght
Blood DK is easy until you hit higher than average content. Knowing how not to get one shot at the start of a pull before you have RP in a 25+ and get a full ramp before you are fucked takes a much more skilled player. The skill ceiling for BDK is pretty nuts honestly. BM monk is still hardest tank to play by far though.
i love all those tank ratings however now i got a question. Which tank is doing the most dps and still hes alot of survival ? Not for instance or raiding but for solo open world play and to kill alot of elites in 1 pull .
People may get angry with me but, i will say macro makes them easy. I've been playing wow since 2005 as a druid. I had an accident and my gaming experience is significantly damaged. I started using macros by modifying them. Tbh, the game has become much more easier to play, less buttons to press, less reflexes needed and more fun.
I dont get how people say pala is harder than dh? pala literally has 4 panic buttons and 3 defensive cd's, is just staying on consecration makes it that hard? I mean I play it and dont feel its much harder than prot warriors just more util and its almost second easiest tank in terms of doing damage
My favourite tank is paladin 😊 the second best for me is paladin. Then paladin, followed by paladin, second last is paladin and last unfortunately I’m going to place the paladin 😕
Can't disagree more. BDK on higher content is really hard. One mistake and all of you are down. Same for Vengeance with amount of buttons he have and have to master to get "best" out of situations. Also, Brewmaster ain't that hard as described, there is bit button float but once you get used to it it is way more easier than BDK or Prot Warrior (which is nowhere near "easy"). Prot Paladin as one of hardest? lol defo not. He is really one of easiest tanks (High-end content) in game right now.
Bro.... Your wrong, DH is the easiest tank. Literally a 3 button spec, prot paladin is also misplaced, it's a SUPER easy spec, literally just sam offensives, and stagger your MANY defensives.
The more I watch your videos the more I realise you have no clue what your talking about, first your outlaw rogue video saying how it’s perfect then your enh shammy one now saying warrior tank is easier than paladin? Just stop dude your making a bad name for yourself
