Hi I’m Matt Lockey, welcome to my Coach Lockey RU-vid Channel. This RU-vid channel is designed to help you play better golf, and to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf course vlogs, golf challenges, golf tips, golf lessons, golf club reviews and the odd golf club unboxing. So pretty much everything golf!
I want to help you play better golf by providing coaching videos on all topics about golf. How to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
As well as helping you produce the best long game you can have, I will help you lower your scores by chipping better, stopping duff and thin chips, pitching the ball closer and creating backspin like the tour pros. Finally, I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts too!

FYI White spirit (AU, UK and Ireland) or mineral spirits (US, Canada), also known as mineral turpentine (AU/NZ), turpentine substitute, and petroleum spirits, is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in painting.

Great video, I found making a mark for alignment using the alignment from the old grip further down on the shaft (providing it is aligned) before removing the old grip helps with getting the alignment of the new grip correctly aligned helpful. I have midsized golf prides that I am enjoying on my current clubs.

Use masking tape and a foot pump. No messy solvent, easy to readjust if they're not perfect. Honestly, why are people still creating videos with this old messy method?

I regripped my clubs 4 months ago with Golf Pride CP2 Wrap grips. I love the feel. I've played more than 50 rounds since and they are still tacky and look new. Great video Coach!!!

I love the Lamkin Sonar grips. I like the reduced taper and they last a really long time. I have an indoor golf simulator and I hit balls a LOT. I have had these grips on my clubs for almost a year and have hit tens of thousands of shots with them and they still feel like new.

Great video Lockey, I've been re-gripping my own clubs at home for about a year and really enjoy the process. My favourite grips are the Lamkin Crossline mid size and I have them on all my irons. On the Woods I've got the Golf Pride CP2 mid size which I really like too.

I re-grip my own clubs each year, currently using Lamkin Crossover midsize grips. When I attach the new grip I use a couple of rubber vice grips to hold the club steady in a workmate, then sliding grips on is quite easy.

Golf pride MCC PLUS 4 mids. Changed last year, and honestly they have made a difference in my startlines. Was fighting the hooks for a while gripping to tight with the bottom hand.

Hi Coach, just went back and watched your first You Tube video as well… great 👍🏻 I’ve never really thought about grips, other than naively I like them to match and love the fact that my 60 degrees wedge has a blue grip! Would love to see a video where you chat about other golf content on you tube and give us your take on the competition… not sure anyone has done that before.

Always loved the softness of Lamkin. Currently play the Crossline Midsize. Bog standard grip but it works for me.

Tend to favor 360 style, no logo. I am too picky with alignment being off line to my preference, so better to just have nothing at all

I have just changed to mid sized golf pride grips for my driver, 3wood and both hybrids. Helps loads with vibration dampening and no change in swing patterns… keeping the irons with standard grips for now.. Nice to meet the family Coach

I still love the Lamkin Crossline, so always choose that when regripping wherever possible. I’ve had the same one on my putter for 20 years and it’s still like brand new!

I change my grips about once a year, always use best grips in golf, midsize GP tour wraps plus 2 layers of tape (currently in white) best feel, and once you know how to look after them the best grips I’ve ever used in the wet… 👍👍

I currently have Lamkin Sonar+ on my MP-32's. My new 223's come in on Friday and will have Sonar+ Wrap (3 wraps). I've messed around with so many grips over the years, I did have and like the leather Bestgrips for about 3 years but they are hard on the hands in the wintertime.

I've got Golfpride tour 360s which i put on myself. Recently changed putter grip on my 2 ball which was a lot harder line up with the bend in the shaft. I am looking at getting some MCs so those "Solheim cup" grips look great!

For the past 6 years I’ve used multi compound. I love them. The Irons I currently use came with lamkin which are ok, but not as good. The colour of these multi compounds are awesome, same colours as the boys football team I coach. 😍 I’m not on tiktok so not in with a shout, but whoever gets them, they look awesome!! 👌🏻

I've used Golf Pride my entire life. I'd recommend never using Winn Grips, especially on putters. They decompose and the stuff comes off on your hands.

That's why I'm regripping right now with Amazon crap... all the videos say they're just about the same as the Winn and about 1/5 the price. But I'm not a tour pro or even the club pro's 3-ball partner.

Good to see how simple it is to replace grips, only problem is getting grips right now is a nightmare. At present I use formula one racing car type .... yes slick. The advantage of these is I get my steps up as I have to walk after the club when it's flown out of my hands!

Just put new Winn dry tac 2.0 mid sized on my hybrids 3 wood and driver. I feel like with the mid sized on those clubs that I can control my ball flight better when trying to draw or cut the ball.

Just switched to Golf Pride CP2 Wrap midsize. Nice and tacky with a good feel, although when the temps go over 90F my hands sometimes slip if they get sweaty.

Golf pride standard black grips are the best by far. Also, as last person said, a hooked blade makes it all so much easier, along with a plastic clamping vice and shaft protector.. All very cheap stuff to buy. Well Lockeyed.

Just had some ORKA RS10'S built for me and Iomic Sticky Army 2.3 Grips and following this weekend of rain I was amazed at how tacky they got when wet... Best so far

CP2 Wraps Golf Pride are my favorite. Pricey for a doing a full set of them, but they last twice as long as some of the Winn grips.

Something I have been tinkering with lately is using Midsized grips (Golf Pride's MCC Plus 4) on my driver and fairway woods. I find that it helps slow my hands down through impact and helps me control a fade. My irons, on the other hand, I still use Standard sized grips because I am much more of a feel player with my approach shots. #LockeyArmy

I just got rid of the Golf Pride corded grips on my irons as they were causing a strange allergic reaction on my right (non-gloved) hand! Gone for something smoother (less likely to chew up my skin) and tackier - Iomic. Definitely an improvement. The other way you can take the old grips off is by using compressed air to blow them off, but you ideally need to try and work some solvent down between grip and club first if you can.

Use Golf Pride Tour Velvet in Mid Size. They were on a set of irons given to me a few years ago. And were the only change I made when I bought new clubs

Golf pride MCC4 midsized grips are awesome. I measured my hands and determined I needed midsized grips. I used to hit a " big draw" these grips have helped tremendously with bring back closer to center with a small draw.

A mixture of grips on the irons have callaway standard grip, long irons are golf pride. My fav grip is golf pride z-grip align

Nice video. I like the Golf Pride Tour 25 grips. 25 grams for a little less weight. Because of my height I'm chopping the clubs a little and the swing weight turns out fine.

Always use mcc midsize when I regrip mine but always have some that take forever to get on or just won’t and end up having to rip them off and bin em!!

I have Lamkin Sonar+ Wrap Calibrate, standard size with two layers of tape on my irons, and I am very pleased with them. :) They're sticking to my hands with no effort.

Golf Pride MCC mid size with the lovely alignment aid down the back of the grip. Mine mustn’t be on right though coz I miss most my irons left!!! 👍🏌️⛳️😂😂😂
