Hey! I know its an old video, but I still have the problem with the Object, that is connected to the camera. The clouds are just flickering in place and barely moving. Also the camera doesnt zoom into them, they just get bigger. 3d-Boxes are checked. Idk what's wrong. But super dope video, my friend.
Ahh ok i see, no sorry I don't have a tutorial on that information but there are tutorials out there that will teach you how to use the lighting features inside after effects which are very awesome and realistic 👍
Hi Pav, do you have a tutorial for an orbiting drone shot where one can add clouds that that track the orbit? Or any advice on how to make the clouds orbit with a drone orbiting video?
Hi Jay. I would have thought it would be the same process with regards to tracking but the only thing is with orbiting you may see the flat 2d image of the clouds so it might be worth researching how to make realistic 3d clouds but that is not something I have ever tried
OK I did everything as you said, but the clouds simply stay still and move along with the footage. Could you please help me out, what could I be doing wrong? I did the 3d tracking, selected flat points on the drone footage, created the null and camera, selected the track null using the pick tool from the clouds. Everything exactly as you said... Its driving me mad that it isn't working. I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks
@@pavguliani thank you for the video. I've got the same problem. I turned the 3d icon (cube one) and connected them (spiral icon) but still doesnt work. I dont have 3 arrow when I click on Track Null 1, but you have.
I've tracked the clouds to my drone shots. but the clouds that are tracked are VERY shaky. Why? There's no keyframes to them either. Should I try to use another tracking point?
Yes try different tracking points and use tracking points that are there throughout the entire clip if possible. How good was your camera track? What is the average error?
Have tried 3/4 different tracking points that are flat on the surface now but I'm still having the same issue. The problem is that the clouds linked to the null shake very much
@@fredrik_soder not sure if this will help but try doing right click and create solid and camera rather than create null and camera. Then paste the position values from the solid to the clouds. Once that is done it will probably put the clouds on the floor. Just adjust the position values of the clouds to where you want them and then finally turn the visibility of the solid off. Sorry of it's confusing. Give it a try
how would you do kthe reverse of this. The drone is flying towards me and i want the effect of it going over clouds on the way back ? I tried reversing the clip but that does not seem to work the cloud just follows the clip. Any idea,s ?
Try first reversing the drone clip and then pre composing it. Then on that pre composed layer do the camera tracking. All the rest of the same steps should apply after that
