Visible Geology is a FREE programme that allows you to create 3D geological block models of the Earth's Crust. This is an absolute must for students, teachers and professionals who want to explore the way rock layers are affected by a history of different geological events over time. The only limit is your imagination as you add different rock layers and then apply folds, faults, dykes, plutons which can each be edited for size, orientation and location. You can manipulate them, show the history, edit each addition and even re-order the events to see how the model will change accordingly.
You can also create a topography to see the surface expression of your 3D model and find out what your sub-surface geological model will look like when drilled into to produce a rock core.
