With option nest, it creates a nested regression table, while without option nest, it a detailed table of regression results. asdoc can also create tables from other Stata commands such as summarize, correlate, ttest, tabulate, and many more.

Sir how to put a condition within one of the variables - suppose you have a categorical variable and then you want only 2 values in the category

Dear Uzig17, the error message identifies the problem as well as tells the solution. Normally, Stata sets the installation folder as its default folder. However, in windows, the system folders are protected and cannot be written to. Since asdoc writes its results to the current folder, therefore if the folder is not writable, it generates the stated error message. As a solution, you can create a folder on your PC and change the Stata folder with the command "cd". So if you made a directory with the name results in C drive, the folder path would be C:/results and to change the Stata current directory to this address, you shall type cd C:/results in the Stata command window and then press enter. After this, asdoc will work. I hope this helps.

Would you recommend "as doc" for reporting cross-tabulations too? Or is there another variable which is more suited for reproducing cross-tabs in a word document?

Nicola Deghaye has asked whether asdoc can be used with tabs and cross tabs in Stata. The answer is yes. asdoc works great with all types of frequency tables. see this blog post for examples fintechprofessor.com/2018/06/18/exporting-tabs-and-cross-tabs-to-ms-word-from-stata-with-asdoc/

@@AttaullahShah Thanks very much, sir. It worked. Previously, I had tried doing as you advise, but then I had inserted commas between the stats in the stat() option as a result of which I was receiving an error message. Your module is simply superb. Thanks very much again.
