Easily make your own Precision Watering Can for thirty cents using a recyclable plastic container. I use a four and one-half gallon disposable plastic kitty litter container. You could use just about any type of plastic bottle. You may ask, “Why bother?” The first reason is because you can use it to water precisely and wisely. Second, it’s very easy and inexpensive to do. Third, you’ll never leave a trickling hose on overnight with this Precision Watering Can. Fourth, the quarter-inch dripline and connector cost less than thirty cents. So if you care about your plants, conserving water, and want to know exactly how much water you’re giving each of your plants, then I believe this video might be helpful.

Nice! Just what I need. Think I'll also add a drip emmiter at the end of the tubing and see how that works out. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome. I love these cans for so many different applications. I just used four of them to apply water exactly where I thought it should go. I used them to help with nitrogen fertilizer to green two large oleanders. I buried the fertilizer pellets about eight inches and covered them and used two of the cans to apply the water over them to dissolve their nutrients into the soil at the site of the plant. I have ten of them and use them all in the summer. They work and have the desired effect of applying water at a good depth when needed. I am very pleased you see the value of this simple watering can. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! I am working on a two-part video on do-it-yourself "Drought Water Busters" that cost $3.00 to make. They will cutdown on watering frequency and usage by up to 90%. I hope you can watch this one. It will keep your potted plants from sizzling in the hot summer sun.

They are really great for measured and deep watering or for that un-watered and isolated plant in the yard. I use about 7 of them for precision watering and three permanently placed for plants outside the range of my watering zones. :-)
