@Ben tbh The Exorcist is not scary. It’s just classic for its time. The Conjuring actually did have some solid jump points such as the clap scene in basement.

@Ben one thing I can say about Exorcist is that it is classic. For it’s time period, it did a great job with its material and originality, however if we compare the horror scares then I think Conjuring and some other movies can surpass it. It’s just my opinion though, I know there are some people who might find Exorcist more scary. Personally I never got scared of Exorcist. I started watching it because of the hype that I’ve heard about it from multiple sites as being best horror but other than the girl crawling down the stairs on both hands and feet like spider most of the scenes were; well what can I say kinda predictable. It might be because I’ve seen many horror movies to guess much things. Perhaps if I might’ve watched it back in old days then I might’ve get the same hype. Let’s just say Exorcist is the start of good horror era maybe.

I can handle a lot of horror so seeing them have to take like 10 shots before the Annabel scene is over is hilarious to me but also very cringey since it’s literally just Annabel’s face, I really don’t get why they’re scared

My house, the oldest in the village, which has a cellar and tunnel to an ancient monastic ruin across the way, was built in the 1300’s. We have an original oak interior door from that period too. We have a few ghosts but they are benign and really no trouble, more just interesting presence & the occasional bit of mischief (like opening the bedroom door during intimate time with my partner 😅). In our faith we have a dedicated shrine to the house ghost, the presiding spirit who tends to and wards hearth & home, who is fed with regular offerings and keeps our home mostly peaceful. Guests who have stayed have however reported seeing and feeling things & we’ve one friend who is a former British royal marine turned blacksmith (a massive guy, incredibly strong, meticulously calculating and otherwise unshakable), who when he visits for the weekend has to sleep on an air mattress in our room as he refuses to sleep in the guest bedroom & we don’t want him to sleep in his car 😂

Nick here, I went to see The Grudge when I was in middle school with my cousins, I had to run out of the theater like 10 minutes into the movie lmao. Shit was scarring. Couldn’t sleep normally for 2 weeks at least!!
