I ike the program(and video), but i really needed one that can make a screen split so even if the program is asked to go full screen, then it stays in the area its assigned to Like if i have a youtube video that i ask to go full screen then it stays in the quardrant or half of the screen it's snapped into

Looking to use a 49 in as a replacement for multiple displays. Do games have to be in windowed mode in order to snap? Also, what's the framerate like with such a wide monitor and would using fancy zones up those frames?

Will this work for launching a game in standard 16:9 ratio? Splitting the screen into two (On a Samsung G9) and launching a game on one side as if it was two 27 inch monitors?

Just ordered AOC cu34g2x and found this right after, i really hope this works with games that does not support 21:9 widescreen. Guess the game has to be windowed fullscreen, but i hope it works.

nah, you didn't show everything, what will happen if you press FULL SCREEN on one of the 4 windows? Thats my problem, it will go again over full display....

Yes well, full screen means that, the full screen will be used… Windows doesn’t really support virtual monitors that well. I’m sure a google search will find a solution.

Great to see this just a few hours after buying that 32:9 beast of a monitor ;) Just hated my triple Monitor Setup on a straight desk. Got a rounded desk with 4 screens at the office, this was never a problem as you turn with to the screen you are working on instead of just turning the head ;)

Great video, I just have one question, do you know if this works for gaming? Like have a game running in fullscreen but maybe have like discord open on the side to make the game's aspect ratio 16:9 and discord's ratio 5:9? (Planning on upgrading to a ultrawide, don't have it yet)

Unfortunate that you cannot maximize/full screen a window, namely videos, within a zone. Now I'm stuck looking at the top of comments sections and stuff when I used to be able to have two, maximized, full screen and clean looking videos at a time.

When I connected my laptop to a 34-inch ultrawide curved monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440p and a refresh rate of 180Hz as an extended monitor, everything appeared stretched and blurry with larger fonts. I aim to multitask efficiently without encountering stretching and blurriness, even when I resize windows for different applications. Can Fancy Zones address the stretched and blurry appearance on the extended 34-inch monitor? My laptop running Windows 11 doesn't display the 3440 x 1440 resolution. I'm seeking a solution to this blurriness issue and hope for your assistance.

Thank you for this! I've had a 49" Samsung for a year and finally decided to search for the ability to snap to three columns! Windows 10 has a "Side by Side" option but when you try that on a 49" monitor WIndows 10 shrugs, throws your windows wherever it wants and then runs away crying. Windows 11 offers an option in each Maximize link at the top of each window which is a good start for Redmond, but I've been using Windows since DOS, 3.1, 98, 98SE, XP, NT3.5, NT4, 2000, 7, 8, 10, etc--I've learned you do NOT install a new Windows version until 40 years after its release so the end user beta testers can get the bugs out.

I think this segmentation and splitting of screen is a normal feature in windows 11 without any installation of power toys. priory to windows 11 power toys was good then and even now.

very cool. just got a neo g9 and loving it. i just wished there was a way though to change the display to lets say 1920x1080 and have it set to equal lets say a 27 in monitor. and then when gaming, no matter how you set up the game, fullscreen etc. that it would only fit within what is set. for now, if i set my screen to 1920x1080 it will have black bars on the side. making my monitor a 26 in. i like that. however when i start up a game (for now i was doing cod4) it would start that game in fullscreen even if i set the ingame resolution too 1920x1080. playing shooter games with the whole screen feels way off.

As a new Superwide owner I was struggling to let go of the three monitor set-up for Twitch etc I had before. Just about to pay £30 for Display Fusion and then found this video. shit was hoping it would artifically create multiple monitors - so you end up having 3 taskbars if you segment your ultrawide three times over. that way you can easily organise it for whatever - maybe 5 segments for work, or 2 for recreation, or 1 for gaming, etc. Fucking about moving and resizing windows like this tool uses is ok but it gets fucky and annoying

If I'm watching a youtube video on a split screen, is there a way I can click "Full Screen" so that it only goes full screen on one of the split screens? Currently if I click "Full Screen" on the video it will take over the whole 49" monitor if I click full screen.

Any way to set up borders? In other words to make it behave as if you have two monitors. I currently use the Neo G9 and there’s certain programs I would put on the top left corner of my left monitor, I’m unable to make it snap the “corner” of the left screen using this software.

Is there a way for Fancy Zones work with applications that in itself has separate windows? I'm running a game engine (Unreal Engine), and additional windows that I open within Unreal don't work by default - maybe there's a setting I'm missing?
