Easily the BEST Chiang Mai trip I've ever had! (3 perfect days) 

So good to see you getting back to your vibrant self! Such beautiful and fun experiences this trip, and all the cats! I was in love!❤ I love going back to a place too because each time you go back, the experience gets a little more authentic. It’s like watching a movie many times…something new every time! 😀

Glad you are better girl!! I honestly love all the vulnerability and you showing the hard times because we all go through that! Especially going through that alone is tough and I've been there (getting sick alone is freaking hard!!). Your vlogs make me so happy and so excited to travel to Chiang Mai! Glad you had an amazing time and I agree with you, sometimes you just don’t get the itinerary quite right and it takes a few times 😊. By the way, I’ve had ginger tea before and I basically had the same reaction 😂

Chiang Mai looks so wonderful!! I think my favorite parts were the surprise kittens (of course) and the ring-making! How cool is that? The healing bowls were also super cool and calming. If I ever visit, I will definitely check out some of these spots :) I'm glad to see you're feeling better Phoebe!

After I watched your nice video about the city where I was born and grew up, Hamburg, I checked out where you travelled before (wow, many places) and found out that you have been in Chiang Mai too. Here I lived for 7.5 years and I really love the city. It´s not beautiful with all these same looking and bad maintained townhouses and a lack of beautiful old buildings like by example in Vietnam, but it´s vibrant, the people are super friendly, the handicraft markets are lovely and the food is amazing. You really should see next time the beautiful nature around the city, the mountains, the rice terraces, the water falls and so on. 6 months ago I moved to Jerez in southern Spain. If you will be one day in this area, it would be a pleasure to meet you and show you all the interesting places. Opposite Chiang Mai there are hundreds and thousand years old buildings and that´s what I missed.

Good to see you back in action Phoebe. I was in Chiangmai around early December and I went to those markets in the clock tower complex whatever it’s called. They had an amazing band playing there. Love some of those hipster coffee shops and the vegetarian/vegan restaurants. I love the Khao Soi vegetarian they have at some places

Loved this video and good to see you recovered 🙂How good is Chiang Mai?! we spent over a week there before xmas and it was our best time too! We've been many times as well but it was a wonderful time to visit with everything re-opening but not too crazy busy yet. My boys loved the sticky waterfalls so I know we will be back again just for that!

Hiya! I need to taste Mango sticky rice now, you activated my cravings. Free Bird cafe, that name reminds my of the Free Bird song by Lynyrd Skynyrd, which is a very nice song. In case you don't know it, give it a listen on RU-vid. Your spicy food looks so good. Spices actually help me while I am having blocked sinuses. Not sure if it would help for stomach issues. When I have stomach issues, I avoid high FODMAP food. That cat at 12:00 is so cute and it gets even better at 15:05 🥰. I lost my heart there. Coconut always helps the stomach. I'm happy your stomach came back. Thanks for sharing and have an amazing week ahead 🤙

Wat Prathat Doi Suthep and practically all temples in the North and in Laos as well have two Nagas (mythical serpent-like beast living underworld) guarding the steps leading into the temple. It is believed that Naga King is the underworld ruler and is a devout Buddhist disciple. Thus, sometimes you can see an image of Buddha meditating under the tree with Naga King guarding behind with his 7 heads above Buddha's head to protect him from wind/rain. There are also standalone Naga statute along Meking River on both sides of Thailand and Laos, the most famous of which is at Nakhon Phanom with 7 heads. It might be noted that one of the largest royal barge of Thai King has 7-heads Naga as its head. The mortal enemy of Naga is Garuda (a mythical flying beast) which is supposed to be God Rama's mount. Indonesia and Thailand deem Garuda as high class mythical beast and Indonesia's National Carrier is "Garuda". Garuda is also the official symbol of Thai King, thus official document would have Garuda symbol at its head. When there is an official royal announcement from the King or Palace, the initial TV screen features Garuda for a minute before the royal text appears together with reading sound.
