A walk around the landslip area showing the whole area of land movement, starting with what slid over into the road, and then following the edge of the movement line up to the large scarp area at the back where all the land has just dropped and slid away leaving a mass of wet clay where there was once soil, trees, and footpaths.
The heavy rains of winter 2013-2014 just filled the high point of earth with a massive weight of water, and when enough water soaked through to the clay below, it became slippery and everything sat on top of it simply slid off.
